Resumen. Se estudia la percepción del impacto de la aplicación del sistema de calidad ISO (International Standard Organization). Se aplicaron cuestionarios a los directores y docentes de dos centros con características contrastantes. Uno chico, gratuito, que recibe niños de una zona pobre y de bajos ingresos. El segundo es un centro grande, que recibe niños de zonas de ingresos altos y cobra una cuota alta. Los dos certificaron aspectos parciales con ISO, mostrando estrategias de implementación parecidas. Los resultados son similares y muestran limitados aportes del instrumento a ambos centros, con pocas diferencias entre sí. A la vez coinciden con otros estudios que se reseñan, que encontraron escasos aportes de los sistemas ISO a la mejora educativa, junto con sobrecarga administrativa.
Resumen. El artículo revisa diversos sistemas y metodologías de evaluación de la calidad de los centros educativos. Se comparan dimensiones y enfoques de siete sistemas, en particular las ventajas y desventajas de las normas iso en educación. Más en general se analizan experiencias, aprendizajes y orientaciones para la autoevaluación de centros, para los procesos de mejora y para su certificación. Se abordan los usos posibles de los sistemas y tecnologías de calidadpara la evaluación, la mejora y la certificación de los centros, en perspectiva al logro de una cultura de la calidad y a aportar a políticas educativas que logren integrar calidad y equidad.
Resumen. Aquí se presentan los resultados de una investigación sobre el impacto del sistema PCI en tres centros educativos a través del estudio de cuatro dimensiones organizacionales que afectan los aprendizajes: comuni-cación, clima, enseñanza, y aprendizaje y satisfacción de las personas. Además de encontrarse evidencia para afirmar que los docentes consideran que el sistema de calidad PCI ha contribuido a mejorar a su centro educativo, los análisis estadísticos no revelan que haya diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre ellos asociadas a su tamaño y/o población que atienden, por lo que se ha podido observar versatilidad en el sistema estudiado.
