ABSTRACTThis work presents an ergonomic analysis on the built environment. warehouse is part of a public institution and it is responsible for supplying items for three campuses. This sector was reduced physical space abruptly without prior planning. Then much of the material was relocated in other spaces disorderly. Currently, despite having a software that helps inventory management, Warehouse Control System (ACS), the industry structure rather hinders the progress of work, location and inventory control failures. This problem causes stress, reworks, efforts and unnecessary travel and as a result the sector inefficiency. We use the ergonomic approach to the built environment (MEAC) developing an ergonomic approach to understand, evaluate and modify the environment and continuous interaction with its user.
