Introdução: A infecção pelo vírus da imunodeficiência humana transformou-se nas últimas décadas em um relevante problema de saúde pública e, na atualidade, é caracterizada como uma doença crônica transmissível. O atendimento odontológico ao paciente soropositivo constitui uma realidade comum no exercício profissional de cirurgiões-dentistas. Objetivo: Compreender as condutas transdisciplinares inerentes à prática profissional de cirurgiões-dentistas durante o atendimento de pacientes soropositivos na clínica odontológica. Métodos: Estudo descritivo, do tipo revisão de literatura. Para isso, foi realizado levantamento bibliográfico nas bases de dados PubMed e Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), nos quais foram utilizados os descritores em inglês “transdisciplinar”, “care” e “dental care”, resultando na busca inicial em 184 estudos publicados. Após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão e leitura crítica dos títulos e resumos, 13 artigos foram selecionados para compor o presente trabalho. Resultados: Os estudos analisados corroboram que o cirurgião-dentista deva possuir conhecimentos transdisciplinares mínimos para gerir as demandas do paciente soropositivo na clínica odontológica, de forma ética e integral. Cabe considerar que estigma, preconceito e discriminação ainda norteiam muitos profissionais no atendimento a esses pacientes. Os autores salientam para a necessidade de extinção de comportamentos estigmatizantes que possam gerar constrangimentos e situações negativas no ambiente odontológico, de forma a resguardar a interface amigável da natureza das interrelações e pontes teóricas entre o social e a prática clínica de saúde pública global. Conclusão: Na gestão odontológica do paciente soropositivo, é primordial a convergência de conhecimentos transdisciplinares que fortaleça a interação entre gestão do cuidado e a relação profissional/paciente. A formação profissional e continuada foi afirmada como potencializadora da gestão do cuidado. Estabelecer estratégias de integração e gestão transdisciplinar compreende alternativas viáveis para o atendimento odontológico de pacientes com vírus da imunodeficiência humana de forma humanizada.
Introdução: A infecção pelo vírus da imunodeficiência humana é uma pandemia caracterizada pela portabilidade de um fator que altera o sistema imune e facilita o aparecimento e instalação de infecções oportunistas e processos neoplásicos, quando o infectado passa a apresentar uma doença conhecida como síndrome da imunodeficiência adquirida (aids). As manifestações orais da infecção pelo vírus da imunodeficiência humana são parte importante da enfermidade e componentes indicativos de sua progressão. Objetivo: Este trabalho tem como objetivo, analisar os efeitos dos medicamentos antirretrovirais nas manifestações orais de vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids. Métodos: Estudo descritivo, do tipo revisão de literatura. Para isso, foi realizado levantamento bibliográfico nas bases de dados PubMed e Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), nos quais foram utilizados os descritores em inglês “Oral manifestations”, “HIV” e “Antiretroviral Therapy”, resultando na busca inicial em 253 estudos publicados. Após aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão e leitura crítica dos títulos e resumos, 12 artigos foram selecionados para compor o presente trabalho. Resultados: Observou-se, nos artigos selecionados, que pacientes que utilizam medicamentos antirretrovirais demonstram uma redução na manifestação de doenças oportunistas ligados à redução na taxa de linfócitos TCD4. Com a estabilização do sistema imunológico e diminuição da carga viral no organismo, resultado da adesão à terapia antirretroviral, enfermidades como candidíase, leucoplasia pilosa e sarcoma de Kaposi apresentaram redução na sua incidência nos trabalhos analisados. Os estudos indicam, ainda, um aumento nas manifestações bucais relacionadas ao uso de antirretrovirais, como papiloma, hiperpigmentação, xerostomia e desordens das glândulas salivares. Conclusão: Com isso, os estudos incluídos demonstram uma boa efetividade dos antirretrovirais na estabilização do sistema imunológico dos pacientes com vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids com repercussões na manifestação de doenças oportunistas em cavidade oral.
