With the multiplication of social media platforms, which offer anonymity, easy access and online community formation and online debate, the issue of hate speech detection and tracking becomes a growing challenge to society, individual, policy-makers and researchers. Despite efforts for leveraging automatic techniques for automatic detection and monitoring, their performances are still far from satisfactory, which constantly calls for future research on the issue. This paper provides a systematic review of literature in this field, with a focus on natural language processing and deep learning technologies, highlighting the terminology, processing pipeline, core methods employed, with a focal point on deep learning architecture. From a methodological perspective, we adopt PRISMA guideline of systematic review of the last 10 years literature from ACM Digital Library and Google Scholar. In the sequel, existing surveys, limitations, and future research directions are extensively discussed.
This paper investigates car parking users’ behaviors from social media perspective using social network based analysis of online communities revealed by mining the associated hashtags in Twitter. We propose a new interpretable community detection approach for mapping user’s car parking behavior by combining Clique, K-core and Girvan–Newman community detection algorithms together with a content-based analysis that exploits polarity, relative frequency and dominant topics. Twitter API was used to collect relevant data by tracking popular car-parking hashtags. A social network graph is constructed using a similarity-based analysis. Finally, interpretable communities are inferred by monitoring the outcomes of clique, K-core and Girvan–Newman community detection algorithms. This interpretability is linked to the aggregation of keywords, hashtags and/or location attributes of the tweet messages as well as a visualization module that enables interaction with users. In parallel, a global trend analysis investigates parking types and Twitter influence with respect to both sentiment polarity and dominant trends (extracted using KeyBERT based approach) is performed. The implementation of this social media analytics has uncovered several aspects associated to car-parking behaviors. A comparison with some state-of-the-art community detection methods has also been carried out and revealed some similarities with our developed approach.
<div>A comprehensive investigation on the variation of the Covid-19 pandemic adequate reproduction number (R) in four critical European countries is provided in this study as a function of the variations related to the weather, mobility, government responses, and epidemiology. In this study, an open data set about the Covid-19 pandemic is used for the analysis. The data contains newly recorded components with different metrics since the appearance of the COVID19 pandemic. The aim is to investigate the impact of the weather, mobility, and government restriction on the R values and pandemic. The appropriate statistical analyses are used to reveal the association and the effect of the various attributes to the R. In addition, multiple predictive models were applied. </div><div>The results show significant differences between studied countries and have different factors that influence the virus's spread.</div>
