Objetivo: determinar las diferencias o similitudes entre la violencia que ejercen los hombres y las mujeres en las relaciones de noviazgo y sus implicaciones respecto a la equidad de género. Método: se utilizó un diseño de corte transversal, cuantitativo, no experimental; la muestra estuvo conformada por 110 jóvenes, 60 mujeres y 50 hombres cuyo promedio de edad fue de 16.9 años, estudiantes universitarios de la ciudad de Bogotá, de tres instituciones educativas, dos públicas y una privada. Como herramienta de recolección de datos se utilizó el CTS (Conflict Tactic Scale) desarrollado por Straus en 1979, con el fin de conocer los conflictos y la violencia en las relaciones intrafamiliares. Resultados: se evidenció la existencia de diferentes violencias en el noviazgo. Respecto a las diferencias entre hombres y mujeres se pudo determinar que tanto hombres como mujeres se sienten víctimas y agresores, lo cual desmitifica el noviazgo como una etapa idílica y a su vez cuestiona los roles tradicionales en los que se sitúan los hombres como agresores y las mujeres como víctimas. Conclusión: los resultados sugieren la importancia de intervenir de forma temprana con los jóvenes para modificar estas conductas.
El objetivo del artículo consistió en revisar, desde el punto de vista teórico, los planteamientos filosóficos y psicológicos que han servido de base para comprender la mente de los Otros por parte de los niños. Se inicia con el concepto de intencionalidad de Brentano (1874-1995), el cual diferencia el mundo físico del mental asumiendo que la mente necesita de objetos para funcionar. Desde la psicología, se abordaron tres teorías: (a) la Teoría de la Simulación o perspectiva de la Primera Persona, propuesta por Gordon (1992), Goldman (1993), Jhonson (1988) y Harris (1995); (b) la Teoría-Teoría o perspectiva de la Tercera Persona, propuesta por Baron-Cohen (2000), Leslie (1987) y Wellman (1995/1990), entre otros, y finalmente, (c) la Teoría de la Intersubjetividad propuesta por Trevarthen (1974, 1979, 1998) como preámbulo a la propuesta de Gómez (1998, 2005) y de Reddy (2008), denominada la perspectiva de la Segunda Persona. Los debates entre estas perspectivas permiten analizar sus diferencias, aportando la posibilidad de enriquecer la mirada acerca de la comprensión de las otras mentes en los niños. En conclusión, se comprende que la teoría de la mente es un concepto que se ha estudiado desde diferentes ópticas, todas las cuales se relacionan a su vez con el concepto de mente.
La infancia y la juventud se han considerado categorías emergentes del ciclo vital desde la modernidad. La adolescencia como etapa de transición entre la niñez y la adultez constituye un escenario de moratoria social que ha sido considerado como necesario para alcanzar la madurez. Este proceso ha sido definido como el camino de construcción de la identidad y la personalidad. Sin embargo, situaciones como lapaternidad adolescente son hechos que ocurren con frecuencia y que tienen consecuencias en este proceso de identificación del adolescente.
Jean Piaget (1896-1980) ha sido uno de los autores más reconocidos del siglo XX por sus estudios en el campo de la inteligencia. Este autor suizo consideró el desarrollo como una secuencia de estadios definidos y caracterizados por una estabilidad y consistencia interna, reflejada en la concepción global del desarrollo en todas sus dimensiones. Las ideas de Piaget fueron rebatidas por autores muy importantes como Fodor (1983) quien, en contra de las posturas piagetianas concibió el desarrollo, no globalmente, sino de manera modular, dándole fuerza a las concepciones innatistas en contraposición a las ideas piagetianas de construcción de estructuras mentales a través de la interacción con el medio. Por su parte Karmiloff-Smith (1992) intentó reunir las ideas innatistas y modulares de Fodor con la postura constructivista de Piaget, concibiendo un modelo de desarrollo más allá de la “modularidad de la mente”. En general se puede concluir que las ideas de Piaget acerca del desarrollo cognitivo han sido reevaluadas en su mayoría. En un proceso creciente de crítica y replanteamiento del último siglo, se ha llegado a pensar que el desarrollo es un proceso no reglado, no diseñado, no programado, no lineal y por lo tanto no global. A diferencia de Piaget, estas teorías explican el funcionamiento mental y no sólo se limitan a describir su estructura. Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar este proceso de crítica al pensamiento piagetiano contemplando las nuevas perspectivas en psicología del desarrollo.
