Synopsis
The yellow seed color of each of 12 flax varieties was attributed to the homozygous condition of 1 or more of 3 recessive genes. Two of these genes also appeared to be pleiotropic for flower color, and 1 of the 2 apparently produced a sublethal effect. Two additional genes also affected color.
