RESUMO -Escoamentos bifásicos líquido-gás são comuns em diversos processos industriais. Uma vez que óleo e gás são produzidos simultaneamente nos reservatórios petrolíferos, esse tipo de escoamento ocorre também no transporte de petróleo. Atualmente, o transporte de óleos pesados é um dos principais desafios na indústria de petróleo, necessitando de muita energia para a sua locomoção, ocasionando uma grande perda de carga decorrente dos efeitos viscosos. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo realizar um estudo numérico sobre o escoamento não-isotérmico de diferentes óleos pesados em um duto vertical. As equações governantes escritas no sistema de coordenadas cilíndricas foram resolvidas pelo método dos volumes finitos. Através de uma simulação numérica, pode-se identificar e avaliar a influência da viscosidade na queda de pressão e no perfil de temperatura do óleo pesado, contribuindo para tentar minimizar os custos operacionais do transporte de óleos pesados. INTRODUÇÃOEscoamentos bifásicos líquido-gás são comuns em diversos processos industriais e é o escoamento dominante na produção de petróleo, uma vez que óleo e gás são produzidos simultaneamente nos reservatórios de petróleo (Nascimento, 2013;Souza, 2009;Silva, 2006;Thomas, 2001).Nos últimos anos, o interesse pela produção de óleos pesados tem crescido devido à grande quantidade de reserva acessível (Andrade et al., 2010). O óleo pesado é caracterizado por sua alta viscosidade e densidade em relação ao óleo convencional e seu transporte é um dos principais desafios na indústria de petróleo devido à alta perda de carga decorrente dos efeitos viscosos (Albuquerque et al., 2007 a, b;Andrade et al., 2013;Marinho, 2012;Santos et al., 2010;Pereira Filho et al., 2010). A produção e o transporte de óleos pesados em águas profundas, por exemplo, apresenta grandes dificuldades, pois a viscosidade do óleo pesado, que depende apenas da temperatura, pode ser afetada consideravelmente pela temperatura da água do mar (Barbosa, 2004 apud Marinho, 2012
RESUMO -Na indústria petrolífera, durante a extração do petróleo, há geração de um enorme volume indesejado de água produzida. Esta água é tratada para descarta-la de acordo com a legislação e/ou para aproveitá-la na injeção dos poços, mantendo a pressão dos poços que é perdida durante a extração do petróleo. O processo de flotação é muito utilizado para tratamento desta água e tal processo consiste na injeção de microbolhas de ar no fundo de uma coluna, onde estas bolhas ao subiram aderem às partículas oleosas, formando compostos de "partícula-gás" com densidade menor que a do líquido, possibilitando-se com isso a sua flotação. O objetivo deste trabalho é verificar a influência das variáveis de processo da flotação por ar dissolvido com relação à eficiência da remoção do óleo, a partir do tratamento da água produzida. Foi realizado um planejamento experimental 2 3 , onde foram avaliadas as variáveis concentração do óleo, vazão de alimentação e vazão água-ar. Ao realizar tais investigações, observou-se uma influência maior na vazão água-ar com remoção de 90% do óleo, devido a uma maior presença de bolhas proporcionando um elevado arraste do óleo. INTRODUÇÃONa indústria petrolífera, na extração do óleo e gás, há geração de um enorme volume de água de produção. Ao longo da vida produtiva de um reservatório pode-se chegar até 100% em volume de água, em virtude do decaimento da produção de óleo e gás. Esta água é tratada com o intuito de recuperar parte do óleo presente e posterior reinjeção ou descarte em mananciais. O descarte sem um prévio tratamento afetará negativamente o meio ambiente, devido à presença de elevada quantidade de compostos orgânicos e produtos químicos tóxicos (Campos et al., 2012;Silva et al., 2010).Um esquema de um reservatório de petróleo é mostrado na Figura 1, onde sua produção continua é dada pela própria pressão interna do reservatório e como consequência os fluidos lá contidos (óleo e água conata) se expandem, acarretando deslocamento desse fluido para fora do meio poroso, e devido a esta redução de pressão, o volume dos poros diminui (Rosa et al., 2006). Para que a pressão do reservatório seja mantida a água de produção que é retirada juntamente com as frações de óleo e reinjetada no poço.
