The article describes the results of experimental determination of the trajectories of the toe of cultivator paws on spring racks of three types: light, medium and heavy. The trajectory was determined by loading on the test bench. It is established that the trajectories are non-linear in nature, and elastic displacements lead to the deepening of the toe of the paw, which violates the established depth of stroke. The loading ranges of the racks are defined, under which the deepening does not exceed the limits of agroadmission. The greatest recession was noted in middle racks, the smallest in heavy racks. It was concluded that it is necessary to monitor the recess of the toe of the feet mounted on the spring post.

Currently, agricultural science is showing interest in the technologies of spread sowing, which compares favorably with the existing ordinary sowing by increasing the supply of seeds with nutritional areas and the use of field area, which are important factors in increasing the yield of grain crops. Its implementation requires studying the processes of seed dispersal and the development of appropriate technical means. They can be active and passive. Of these, the most simple means using the natural processes of turbulization of the process of movement of seeds in the seed tubes of seeders.
A General analysis of the design and technological solutions of machines for strip sowing is given. The task is to find a middle ground between constructive and technological solutions and zonal conditions that would ensure high productivity of the cultivated crop at minimal cost. The analysis shows that a promising direction is the use of combined aggregates designed for surface tillage, both for sowing grain crops and for row crops, with simultaneous application of mineral fertilizers and harrowing.
