Subject. The article provides an analysis of the indicators of life quality of patients after prosthetic treatment. The study included patients with overlapping prostheses based on dental implants and tooth roots. Patients were divided into main and control groups. Aim – to analyze the quality of life of patients after prosthetic treatment using overlapping prostheses. Methodology. We conducted prosthetic treatment of 45 patients among them, 19 men and 26 women, aged from 45 to 72 years. Overlapping prostheses based on dental implants were made for patients of the main group. Overlapping prostheses based on the restored tooth roots were made for patients of the control group. We analyzed the quality of life of patients of the main and control groups after prosthetic treatment based on the results of survey. The OHIP-14 method for determining the quality of life in dental patients was used. Results. After prosthetic treatment of patients of the main group using overlapping dentures based on dental implants, the results of study of life quality were 17.1 ± 2.7. One month after prosthetic treatment, patients in the control group, according to the results of the questionnaire, had quality of life indicators of 18.1 ± 3.9. Orthopedic treatment of patients using overdentures is a modern and effective method. The use of dental implantation in the patients of the main group and the restoration of the roots of the teeth in the patients of the control group to support the overdentures made it possible to achieve optimal results. Conclusions. The use of overlapping dentures based on dental implants and restored tooth roots improves the quality of life of patients.
Resume. Mandibular prognathia is a common pathology of the development of the dentition, related to genetic disorders. A characteristic feature of mandibular prognathia is the overlap of the upper incisors by the lower incisors. Despite the fact that distal prognathia is more common than mandibular (mesial) prognathia, the latter affects all age categories of people. The causes of this pathology can be divided into two groups: endogenous and exogenous. Clinically, this is manifested by a violation of the aesthetic appearance of the face, due to a change in its configuration, the appearance of pronounced nasolabial folds. The purpose - of the study was to assess the teleradiological parameters of facial tissues in patients after orthodontic treatment for mandibular prognathia. Materials and methods. The collection and analysis of clinical material was carried out on the basis of the Samara City Clinical Dental Clinic No. 1, Samara, in the period from 2018 to 2022. The study involved 88 patients with removable and permanent dentition. When detecting mandibular prognathia, clinical functional tests proposed by Ilyina-Markosyan were used. Conclusion. Analysis of the results of the treatment of patients suffering from mandibular prognathia demonstrated a stable improvement in the clinical picture, which is confirmed by the results of teleroentgenography.
Subject. Currently, there are many methods for restoring the crown of the tooth using various stump pin designs, but they are not always effective when prosthetics are removable dentures. Therefore, overlapping prostheses using locking elements and dental implants are becoming increasingly popular in the clinic of orthopedic dentistry. Locking fasteners can reduce pressure on the mucous membrane, increase functional efficiency by transferring pressure to the abutment teeth, which positively affects the stabilization and retention of orthopedic structures. The goal is to improve the quality of orthopedic treatment of partial absence of teeth with the help of overlapping prostheses based on spherical attachments, dental and collapsible dental implants. Methodology. Orthopedic treatment was performed for 27 patients (12 men and 15 women) aged 59 to 74 years, who were divided into two groups: control (10 people) and main (17 people). For patients of the control group, dental treatment was carried out using partial removable laminar prostheses using generally accepted technologies, the main one using advanced technologies for the manufacture of removable dentures and collapsible dental implants. Results. The use of removable orthopedic constructions based on teeth and dental implants using an advanced manufacturing technology (RF Patents No. 2593349, 2708828, 2588488 for an invention) made it possible to carry out dental treatment of patients with partial absence of teeth. An assessment of the quality of hygiene of removable dentures. Conclusions. The effectiveness of prosthetics depends on the rational choice of the orthopedic design and the use of dental implants, as well as the correct assessment of the periodontal condition of the abutment teeth and the determination of contraindications for the manufacture of cast stump pin inlays with spherical locks.
