A dança é um elemento da cultura corporal de movimento obrigatório nas escolas, cuja efetivação é influenciada por experiências prévias dos professores de educação física (EF). Assim, este estudo analisou as vivências de dança de graduandos em EF e a influência do curso em seu interesse pela dança. A amostra foi composta por 127 estudantes, com coleta de dados por questionário. 59,8 % dos graduandos nunca praticaram dança fora da universidade; 7,1 % começaram a praticar devido ao curso; 31,5 % gostariam de atuar com dança; 48 % passaram a gostar mais de dança devido aos espetáculos do curso. Conclui-se que a graduação viabiliza o primeiro contato com a dança à maioria dos graduandos e desperta o interesse pela modalidade, contribuindo para aplicação deste conteúdo no futuro. RESUMOEste estudo avaliou as respostas cardiovasculares durante step training coreografado em plataformas de 10cm de altura (ST10) e os efeitos causados pelo ST10 na potência aeróbia de universitárias jovens. 10 mulheres, normotensas, 20,88±1,17 anos e IMC 21,77±3,07Kg/m 2 , realizaram 3 sessões de 50 minutos de ST10, durante 12 semanas. Foram analisadas variáveis antropométricas, FC Rep , VO 2máx VO 2Treinamento , sendo realizados testes de esforço máximo com ergoespirometria (protocolo de Bruce). Utilizou-se estatística descritiva e O Teste "t" de Student (p≤0,05). Os resultados demonstraram que o consumo médio de O 2 do ST10 foi de 18,9±0,41ml/Kg/min (52,78±1,11%VO 2máx .) e a FC média foi de 134,89±1,83bpm (55,85±1,35%FC Res ). Houve diferença significativa entre as médias de VO 2máx e FC Rep antes e após o treino, as quais foram respectivamente: 33,47±3,55 e 35,43±3,29ml/Kg/min (p=0,044), e 72,6±3,17 e 65,7±4,92bpm (p=0,002), Indicando que o ST10 tem características aeróbias, que sua prática pode reduzir a FC Rep e aumentar a potência aeróbia, sendo que a intensidade deste exercício pode ser prescrita com base na FC Res .
