Getting the best out of an employee has always been a major challenge an employer face in today’s competitive environment. These might be however, connected to the fact that an employee is most dynamic and unpredictable aspect of business resources. It has therefore become imperative for organisations to realise the significance of an employee and also the device strategic means through which an employee can be influenced in order to develop positive job attitudes that can lead to higher performance. Hence, the study aims to examine the relationship between job attitude and employee performance by using the non-academic staff of Bauchi State University Gadau as unit of analysis. An aggregate of two hundred and seventy questionnaires were distributed non- academic staff of BASUG based on systematic random sampling and data collected was analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The outcome of the analysis shows that there is positive and significant relationship between job attitude and employee performance. Also, the study is limited due to the fact that it adopts only two variables and concentrate in one institution only. Thepaper recommends that employers should prioritise important motivational factors that will bring about positive job attitude so as to achieve highest performance level of an employee. Furthermore, the study will serve as a policy guide to the management of the Nigerian Universities in areas relating to employee performance improvement through job attitude and it will also further make an impetus the field of organisational behaviour and human resource management.

Despite various efforts aimed at inclusive development both at the national and international levels, gender inequality is still prevalent in many developing countries especially in the field of entrepreneurship. This is particularly evident patriarchal societies such as north eastern Nigeria where women micro entrepreneurs face several socio-cultural and institutional challenges. The aim of this study was to assess the role social media plays in empowering micro scale women entrepreneurs in Gombe State Nigeria. A random sample of 92 women entrepreneurs operating in both old and new markets of Gombe metropolis were chosen for the study. A structured questionnaire was designed using to collect data from the respondents. The study found that social media is empowering women entrepreneurs in Gombe metropolis by increasing their social capital and self-efficacy. This study recommends that the government should further educate the women entrepreneurs especially micro scale entrepreneurs on the prospects of social media in enhancing business purposes, and hence their ability to contribute actively to community and national development whilst also training them on how to overcome  potential risks on social media platforms. The study further recommends that, the government should liaise with the telecommunication companies to provide a good quality internet connectivity to their customers in order to enhance business activities.

Many experts are concerned about the necessity to look into what causes the performance of cement manufacturing businesses in Nigeria to be questionable. Therefore, the study looked into how economic factors impact Nigerian cement manufacturing enterprises' performance. Interest rate, inflation rate, exchange rate, unemployment rate, and economic growth were the economic environmental factors taken into account in this study. The study's descriptive and explanatory design and survey methodology were appropriate for achieving its goal. For the 398 sample size considered, primary data were gathered using a standardized questionnaire. In this study, descriptive and inferential analyses were both completed. Frequency tables and charts were used to analyze the data collected in a descriptive manner. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), which produced the correlation and regression results, was used to conduct the inferential analysis. The results showed that all economic and environmental factors significantly affect how well cement manufacturing enterprises function in Nigeria. The original finding of this study is that the performance of Nigerian cement manufacturing enterprises is most significantly influenced by economic factors, specifically currency rates. With these findings, the study came to the conclusion that economic considerations had a favorable impact on the performance of Nigerian cement manufacturing enterprises. Therefore, it is recommended that cement manufacturing businesses, among other things, should be more aware of the economic indicators that could affect their performance through ongoing feasibility studies on alternative economic indicators in the industry.
