This study aims to determine the effect of teaching materials based on local Aceh's wisdom on student learning outcomes in learning English in class VII SMP Aceh Besar. This study uses a quasi-experimental method, consisting of a control class and an experimental class. Data collection techniques using written tests. Technical data analysis with t-test. The results showed that the value of tcount = 2.664 was obtained. At the significant level α = 0.05 and dk = 35 + 35 - 2 = 68, the price of ttable = 1.669 (complete calculation in attachment 21) is obtained. By comparing tcount and ttable obtained tcount> ttable or 2.664> 1.669 means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This shows that Aceh's local wisdom-based teaching materials are effective in improving student learning outcomes in 7th grade of Aceh Besar Junior High School.
Culture cannot be separated in transferring a knowledge to create the character of the concern and love of regional culture for students. Creating materials based on local wisdom is able to challenge students to reconstruct knowledge and build conceptual understanding. Localoriented learning is meaningful learning. Meaningful learning indicator that emphasizes on student involvement in learning, students are able to learn with things close to everyday students and teachers can design learning that allows students to learn more actively, one of them with the application of teaching materials based on local wisdom of Aceh. Teaching materials that have been developed are tested to test the effectiveness by applying to different schools using experimental methods. The results show that students taught with teaching materials based on local wisdom of Aceh get a better value than students taught with conventional teaching materials.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the development of HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) based news text assessment instruments for for 7th Grade Students in SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. The study was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2018/2019 school year. This type of research is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). This research is called R&D, by adopting eight steps of R&D research according to Sugiyono (2014: 137). The results of this study indicate that students' high-level thinking skills obtained an average score of 51.42. This value is in the medium category because the standard value is met 40 <x total score ≤ 60. The measurement results of the assessment instrument based on Higher Order Thinking Skill in the dimensions of students' persuasive text knowledge obtained superior conceptual ability results with a percentage of 76% in the sufficient category, followed by factual abilities with the percentage of 60% is in the sufficient category, students 'procedural knowledge is 58% with low category, and students' knowledge that is metacognitive there are 59% with enough category. Thus, it can be stated that the eighth grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan have advantages in the conceptual dimension of knowledge and the ability to think at a high level with a medium category, ie students must be accustomed to working on questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills so that students' abilities increase.
Penjaminan dan peningkatan mutu pendidikan tidak lepas kaitannya dengan manajemen mutu. Berkaitan dengan itu perlu adanya upaya pengendalian mutu (quality control) secara berkelanjutan. Lemahnya komitmen kepala sekolah, guru, tenaga pendidikan dalam melaksanakan sistem penjaminan mutu, serta keterbatasan jumlah kompetensi SDM dalam pemahaman SPMI di SMA Negeri 2 Tebing Tinggi membuat sistem penjaminan mutu sekolah tidak berjalan dengan maksimal. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyaraat (PkM) ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan dan sosialisasi sistem penjaminan mutu pendidikan mengikuti siklus SPMI yang disempurnakan berbasis digital untuk memastikan pelaksanaan SPMI berjalan dengan terus menerus dan berkelanjutan di SMA Negeri 2 Tebing Tinggi serta melakukan pemetaan mutu untuk membangun sistem pengawasan sekolah. Kegiatan PkM Pengembangan Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Sekolah Berbasis Digital dimulai dengan melakukan pemetaan mutu berdasarkan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP), pembuatan Rencana Kerja Sekolah (RKS), pemenuhan mutu baik dalam pengolahan SNP pada proses pembelajaran, monitoring dan evaluasi pelaksanaan, penetapan standar baru, evaluasi hasil implementasi, dan pembuatan sistem penjaminan mutu sekolah berbasis digital. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan luaran berupa sistem penjaminan mutu sekolah berbasis digital yang memuat standar mutu, prosedur operasional baku, kurikulum, RKS, data siswa, guru, prestasi siswa, serta prestasi guru. The aims of this study to find out the quality of E-learning based on learning media using Moodle LMS on text of observation. This type of research is development research in the field of education known as Research and Development (R&D). Development research (development research) is research that is used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products (Tegeh and I.M, 2013). The result of this study show that The quality of e-learning based learning media using LMS Moodle which was developed as a learning media on the observation report text material is stated to be a useful and effective contribution in improving the quality of learning outcomes of 10th grade TJA1 Vocational School Telkom Shandy Putra Medan. This is because there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of the average value of students before using e-learning based learning media (pre-test) ie 57.0 or only about 52% are able to exceed KKM and after using e-based learning media learning using LMS Moodle (post-test) the average value of students increased to 77.0% or can be interpreted as 100% of students able to exceed the KKM. Based on these data the difference is increased by 20% or can be interpreted student learning outcomes increased by 58%.
Quality assurance efforts at higher education institutions today are largely determined by the value of accreditation obtained, both in the study program and higher education institutions. Of course various obstacles are faced for the implementation of accreditation. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the level of difficulty of the study program at Unimed in carrying out the development of an accreditation-based quality assurance program. The method used to achieve the objectives of the research is through a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the level of difficulty of the study program in Unimed in meeting the accreditation standards can be seen from the low acquisition scores in standards 4, 5 and 7 in the study program accreditation forms. The low value obtained from the standard-accreditation standards is influenced by the development of lecturers' resources in each study program to improve scientific publications in accredited national journals and / or reputable international journals, and the participation of the lecturers is a speaker at scientific forums such as national seminars and seminars international.
Desa Paluh Kurau memiliki banyak pohon nipah yaitu sejenis palem yang banyak tumbuh alam di hutan bakau. Nipah merupakan tumbuhan yang hidup di kawasan mangrove, nama lain dari nipah adalah Nypa fruticans yang termasuk keluarga palem-paleman, nipah tumbuh subur di daerah sungai dan rawa dengan kadar air yang asin.Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di desa Paluh Kurau ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penghasilan masyarakat, khususnya kaum ibu-ibu yang dapat menopang ekonomi keluarganya. Tim pengabdian masyarakat mengarahkan dan memberi pengetahuan mengenai kerajinan anyaman yang dapat dibuat dengan sangat mudah dengan memanfaatkan bahan dasar lidi nipah yang merupakan tumbuhan yang banyak dijumpai di sekitar masyarakat desa Paluh Kurau. Dengan pelatihan yang diberikan oleh tim pengabdi mengenai kerajinan tangan anyaman, masyarakat dapat membuat berbagai produk berkualitas yang memiliki nilai jual sehingga dapat meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga.
This research aims to develop the material teaching of News text based Problem in 12th grade Students of Vocational High School at TR Sinar Husni. The methods used is quantitative method. It also use random sampling system. The product that was developed was in the form of a problem-based module on writing news text material entitled "News Text -Based Problem" for 12th grade students of Vocational High School at TR Sinar Husni qualified and suitable for use as individual teaching materials based on the assessment of material experts and learning design experts. The feasibility of teaching materials by material experts included in the criteria is excellent with aspects of the feasibility of the contents of 90.1%, the feasibility of the presentation of 90.3%, and the feasibility of aspects of the language of 93.2%. The feasibility of the design by the design experts in the criteria is excellent with an average score of 89.5%, the module size aspect with an average score of 89%, the module cover design (cover) with an average score of 91.6%, and the module design with an average score of 87.5%. The student news text test results after using the news text module increased by 9.47, with an average pretest learning outcomes or before using the module of 76.07 while the posttest learning outcomes or after using the module amounted to 85.54.
