This study aims to determine the effective time during the luteal phase in the synchronization of lust using, PGF2α on kacang goat. A total of nine simple 1.5-year-old goat-bean goats were randomly grouped into three treatments at the time of injection in the respective luteal phase; injection of the 6th day after the first injection as P1, injection of the 8th day as P2 and Injection of the 10th day as P3. The research variables are the time of the onset of estrus (onset estrus), signs of estrus and pregnancy rate. The results of the study were tabulated and analyzed statistically using a completely randomized directional design in the MINITAB Version 14. The results of the study concluded that the treatment factor was significantly different (P <0.01) with respect to the onset of estrus. Where the injection during the luteal phase, both on the 6th day, the 8th day and on the 10th day, both provide a good and very real response to the onset of estrus. But the P3 treatment that is the 10th day injection is better with an average onset of estrus 5.31 hours, then the treatment P2 with the onset of estrus 26.78 hours and the treatment of P1 with the onset of estrus 38.87 hours. Signs of lust are the same for all cattle with a pregnancy rate of 100%.
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efek jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix) sebagai protektor terhadap asam lemak tidak jenuh, kolesterol dan komposisi kimia daging. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan. Sebanyak 15 ekor domba lokal jantan berumur 9-12 bulan dengan bobot badan 14-17 kg, dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok perlakuan ransum (P0 : domba yang hanya diberi ransum basal; P1 : domba yang diberi ransum basal dan 3% minyak goreng; P2 : domba yang diberi ransum basal dan 3% minyak yang diproteksi dengan 3% bubuk jeruk purut. Data dianalisis statistik menggunakan analisis sidik ragam, perbedaan antar perlakuan diuji lanjut dengan Duncan's New Multiple Range Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daging dari domba yang mengkonsumsi ransum P2 mempunyai total kadar asam lemak dan kandungan asam lemak poli tak jenuh yang lebih tinggi (P<0,01) dengan kadar kolesterol yang lebih rendah (P<0,01) dibanding P0, serta mempunyai kadar protein dan kadar lemak yang lebih tinggi (P<0,01), dengan kadar air yang lebih rendah (P<0,01) dibanding P0. Disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan jeruk purut sebagai protektor lemak dapat meningkatkan kadar asam lemak poli tak jenuh, kadar protein dan kadar lemak, tetapi menurunkan kadar kolesterol.Kata kunci : jeruk purut, protektor lemak, asam lemak tidak jenuh, cholesterol, komposisi kimia, daging
The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge and skills of breeders regarding reproductive management of goats in general and measure the ability of farmers to detect estrus and determine mating time before and after parturition through pre-test and post-test evaluations. The method used is the method of socialization (sexual maturity, lust, marriage, pregnancy, birth and weaning, lust and remarriage after parturition); demonstration method (showing and making your own pictures of the cattle mating calendar); Evaluation method (Pre-test and post-test related to the ability to detect lust and determine the right time to mate after parturition). The delivery of material and questions and answers starts from the understanding of reproductive management in its environment including sexual maturity, estrus detection, marriage, pregnancy, birth and weaning and remarriage after giving birth. After that, it was continued with training/practice in which the breeder made and studied the calendar of cattle mating times. This session received a good response because it was seen from the participation and activity of the participants during the process of this activity, both in the delivery of materials and discussions as well as training/practice. Based on the results of the evaluation of the knowledge of farmers about determining estrus detection and determining the timing of remarriage after giving birth before (pre-test) the delivery of material and practice shows that the average knowledge of farmers is in the less category, namely 100%, can only mention 1 answer point. Meanwhile, after the delivery of the material, there was an increase in knowledge of breeders about lust detection, which was in the medium category (57%), the determination of mating time was also in the medium category (60%) which could mention 2-3 points of answers. From the overall evaluation, there was an increase in the knowledge of farmers before and after the delivery of materials and practices so it can be said that this service was achieved according to the expected results. Abstrak: Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan peternak tentang manajemen reproduksi ternak kambing secara umum dan mengukur tingkat pengetahuan peternak dalam mendeteksi estrus dan penentuan waktu kawin sebelum dan sesudah partus melalui evaluasi pre test dan post test. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode sosialisasi (dewasa kelamin, birahi, perkawinan, kebuntingan, kelahiran dan penyapihan, birah dan kawin kembali setela partus) ; metode demonstrasi (menunjukan serta membuat sendiri gambar kalender perkawinan ternak); metode Evaluasi (Pre test dan post test terkait kemampuan deteksi birahi dan penentuan waktu kawain yang tepat setelah partus). Penyampaian materi dan tanya jawab dimulai dari pengertian manajemen reproduksi ruang lingkungnya meliputi umur dewasa kelamin, deteksi estrus, perkawinan, kebuntingan, kelahiran dan penyapihan serta kawin kembali setelah beranak. Setelah itu,dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan/praktek yakni peternak membuat dan mempelajari kalender waktu perkawinan ternak. Sesi ini mendapatkan respon yang baik karena dilihat dari keikutsertaan dan keaktifan peserta selama proses kegiatan ini berlangsung, baik dalam penyampaian materi dan diskusi maupun pelatihan/praktek. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pengetahuan peternak tentang penentuan deteksi estrus dan penentuan waktu kawin kembali setelah beranak sebelum (pre test) penyampaian materi dan praktek menunjukan bahwa rata - rata pengetahuan peternak berada pada kategori kurang yakni (100%), hanya bisa menyebutkan 1 poin jawaban. Sedangkan setelah penyampaian materi adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peternak tentang deteksi birahi yakni berada pada kategori sedang (57%), penentuan waktu kawin juga berada pada kategori sedang (60 %) yakni dapat menyebutkan 2-3 poit jawaban. Dari keseluruhan Evaluasi, adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peternak sesudah penyampaian materi dan praktek sehingga dapat dikatakan pengabdian ini tercapai sesuai hasil yang diharapkan.

The research design applied was completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 5 replications. Fifteen local male lambs aged 9-12 months weighing 14-17 kg, were divided into 3 groups of different diet treatments (P0 : sheeps were only given a basal diet; P1 : sheeps are given basal diet and 3% cooking oil; P2 : sheeps are given basal diet, 3% cooking oil and protected by 3% Citrus hystrix powder). The data were analyzed by analysis of variance, the differences among treatments were tested by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test. The results showed meat from sheeps that consume P2 diet has a total fatty acid and polyunsaturated fatty acids content were higher (P<0.01), with lower cholesterol content (P<0.01) than of P0, and has a protein and fat content were higher (P <0.01), but a lower water content (P<0.01) than that of PO. It can be concluded that the use of Citrus hystrix powder as fat protector can increase content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, protein and fat, but decrease cholesterol content.
This study aims to determine the reproductive potential of the lakor goat in Lakor Disctrict, Southwest Maluku Regency. This research was conducted from July to August 2020 in three sample villages, namely Letoda, Sera, and Yamluli Villages. The methoud used in this study was a survey of 30 respondents of Lakor goat breeders who were determined by the simple random sampling method (simple random). The data source used in this study is primary data. The data was collected by means of observation and direct interview using a questionnaire. The results showed that the reproductive potential of the Lakor goat in the three sample villages categorized as good according to the amount of litter obtained from the type of twin birth which is quite high and the ability to give birth.
