Abstract:The objective was to identify the social representations of masculinity of lesbian and heterosexual women and how these representations influence affective-sexual behaviors and questions of prejudice and lesbophobia. 96 women participated. The data collection was performed through an online questionnaire and the data analyzed through the ALCESTE software. It is concluded that the social representations of masculinity for lesbian women are more fluid, hybrid and amplified, opposing the biological and physiological perceptions strongly present in the discourses of heterosexual women. They understand that the experiences of prejudice and discrimination intensify when perceived as masculine.
