A Central de Material e Esterilização (CME), destaca-se como setor complexo do hospital para os profissionais exercerem suas funções, apresentando riscos químicos, físicos, mecânicos, biológicos e ergonômicos. Os riscos ergonômicos estão associados à organização do trabalho, mobiliário, equipamentos, levantamento e transporte manual de peso, jornada dupla de trabalho, relações conflituosas, monotonia ou ritmos intensos no serviço. Objetivo: analisar as produções científicas sobre riscos ergonômicos na CME. Metodologia: revisão integrativa da literatura de acordo com a estratégia (PICo) e procedimentos metodológicos definidos pelo Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Busca bibliográfica realizada no período de abril a maio de 2021, sem definição de tempo, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol. Foram selecionados 9 estudos para análise Bases de dados: Sistema Online de Busca e Análise de Literatura Médica (MEDLINE)/PubMed, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs) e Base de Dados em Enfermagem (BDEnf) da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS). Resultados: A CME oferece muitos riscos para seus trabalhadores: ambientes de trabalho inadequados, falta de insumos e equipamentos; esforço físico, postura inadequada, levantamento e transporte manual de peso, trabalho diuturno, repetitividade. Outros riscos pontuados: jornada de trabalho dupla, turnos de trabalho exaustivos, movimentos repetitivos, esforço físico, postura errada, mobiliário inadequado. Conclusão: A prática ergonômica, na CME minimizaria riscos mediante mobiliário adequado, pausa para descanso, melhor distribuição do pessoal, gestores com conhecimento de ergonomia e educação continuada preparando os funcionários, orientando-os para o tema da ergonomia, direitos e responsabilidades.
Objetivo: analisar as produções cientificas sobre armazenamento de produtos para a saúde estéreis, repercussões para a CME e sustentabilidade do meio ambiente. Método: Revisão integrativa da literatura, estratégia PICo e procedimentos definidos pelo Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) para a seguinte questão norteadora: Quais as implicações do armazenamento de produtos para a saúde estéreis para a CME e sustentabilidade do meio ambiente? Buscas realizadas entre abril e junho de 2021, sem definição de tempo. Idioma dos estudos: português, inglês e espanhol. Resultados: Estudos brasileiros (66,7%). Os demais eram provenientes da China, Indonésia, Índia e Estados Unidos. O ano de 2015 foi o mais prevalente (33,3%). Estudos descritivos (53,3%) e experimentais (20%). Conclusão: Área de armazenamento requer controle da umidade, temperatura e da descontaminação. Falhas como pacotes incompletos, produtos vencidos, resíduos orgânicos pós-esterilização, materiais limpos e sujos no armazenamento exigiram novo processamento. O uso do não tecido reduziu taxa de resterilização. Identificado o complexo processo de reprocessamento de campos de tecido de algodão. A necessidade de educação continuada permitirá a revisão de práticas incorretas e o conhecimento de recomendações dos órgãos regulamentadores que precisam ser atendidas.

Método: Revisão integrativa da literatura, de acordo com a estratégia PICo e procedimentos definidos pelo Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Bases de dados consultadas: Sistema Online de Busca e Análise de Literatura Médica (MEDLINE)/PubMed, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs) e Base de Dados em Enfermagem (BDEnf) da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), Scopus (Elsevier) do Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES). Busca realizada no período de abril a junho de 2021. Foram consideradas publicações de 2012 até 2020, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol. Oito estudos foram selecionados para análise. Resultados: Estudos predominantes descritivos (42,8%) e brasileiros (85,7%) publicados no período de 2013 a 2020. Conclusão: As práticas de sustentabilidade na CME incluem a revisão nas práticas de processamento para evitar o consumo excessivo de água e energia elétrica. Na cadeia de resíduos, a CME participa na geração, segregação e tratamento de resíduos infectantes. Destaque para o trabalho do profissional Enfermeiro que exerce papel fundamental na sustentabilidade ambiental, não somente na gestão dos sistemas de saúde, mas também na assistência.
Estratégias mitigadoras de CH 4 entérico pelos bovinos auxilia tanto na diminuição das emissões dos gases de efeito estufa quando para aumentar o desempenho dos animais. O objetivo desse trabalho foi o de avaliar os efeitos de um bend de óleos essenciais à base de cinamaldeído e dialil dissulfeto, associado ou não a antibióticos, sobre a produção de CH 4 entérico e sobre os parâmetros nutricionais in vitro de bovinos. Foi utilizado o delineamento inteiramente casualizado com cinco tratamentos. Os tratamentos avaliados consistiram de uma dieta basal sem volumoso com inclusão de monensina sódica (MON), monensina sódica + virginiamicina (MV), monensina sódica + blend de OE (MOE25), monensina sódica + blend de OE (MOE35) e blend de óleos essenciais (OE). O metano entérico e os parâmetros nutricionais (DIVMO, NDT, ED e EM) foram obtidos a partir da técnica da produção de gás in vitro. A MON e MOE35 apresentaram os maiores valores de produção de gás e metano (P<0.05), expresso em diferentes unidades, enquanto os menores valores foram encontrados para o MOE25 e OE (P<0.05). A associação da monensina e virginiamicina (MV) foi o tratamento intermediário. Concluiu-se que o blend de óleos essenciais, composto por cinamaldeído e dialil dissulfeto, pode ser utilizado como estratégia para diminuir a produção de CH 4 entérico de bovinos confinados com dieta sem volumoso.
