In the context of Aceh, the word “Ulama" refers to an Islamic scholar who own boarding school (In Aceh language known as Dayah) or a leader of an Islamic boarding school (known as Teungku Dayah). Ulama become "the backbone" of any social problem and play strategic and influential roles in Acehnese society. However, The Ulama roles have changed in the post-conflict era in Aceh. The assumption that Ulama are unable running their authorities in Acehnese society especially in the post-conflict era. Ideally, their roles are needed in the reconciliation regarding the agents of reconciliation who have authority like the Ulama and are trustworthy by Acehnese society. Therefore, this article aims to discuss the position of Ulama in the process of post-conflict reconciliation in Aceh. To investigate the problem, a descriptive qualitative method was used, where the method is to describe the nature of a temporary situation that occurs when the research is carried out in detail, and then the causes of the symptoms were examined. The data were literature studies, participatory observation, and in-depth interviews. The results of this research showed that during an important period of Aceh's history, the Ulama constantly become guardians that provide a religious ethical foundation for each socio-political change in Aceh, and subsequently they also act as the successor to the religious style that developed in the society. Even the formation and development of the socio-political and cultural system occurred partly on the contribution of the Ulama. The position of Ulama in the process of post-conflict reconciliation in Aceh can be found in four ways. Firstly, knowledge transmission. Secondly, as a legal decision-maker which refers to Sharia law, especially related to the reconciliation process. Thirdly, as a mediator. Fourthly, cultural roles in the form of ritual or ceremonial guides that are carried out when the parties of the conflict have met an agreement to reconcile.
Artikel ini mengkaji tentang keberadaan Lembaga Wali Nanggroe dalam relasinya dengan masa depan perdamaian Aceh. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam studi ini adalah observasi, wawancara mendalam serta kajian dokumen yang relevan dengan topik. Hasil kajian menyatakan bahwa Wali Nanggroe adalah institusi khusus yang memang sudah berakar dalam kultur politik keacehan. Lembaga tersebut menjadi “media” penghubung dalam berbagai sistem tatanan sosial, budaya dan politik di Aceh serta memiliki otoritas dan legitimasi yang terbentuk dari basis formal maupun non-formal. Paska Helsinki, Lembaga Wali Nanggroe berperan penting dalam memproduksi stabilitas dan kohesivitas perdamaian Aceh. Posisi Lembaga Wali Nanggroe bukan saja aktor utama perdamaian, tetapi juga aktor penentu dalam merawat perdamaian Aceh. Oleh karena itu, posisinya dalam tatanan kepemerintahan Aceh harus lebih dipertegas sehingga kuat dan otonom untuk penguatan perdamaian serta penjaga kekhususan dan keistimewaan Aceh.
Ketidaksiapan masyarakat dalam menghadapi era disrupsi menimbulkan berbagai gejolak dan instabilitas sosial. Kemajuan teknologi dan informasi yang tidak dibarengi dengan revitalisasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal semakin memperparah kondisi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, kajian ini fokus pada upaya memahami kembali nilai-nilai yang berbasis local wisdom dalam masyarakat suku Alas agar dapat menjadi benteng moral masyarakat dalam menyongsong era globalisasi. Kajian ini bersifat kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, kajian pustaka, dan FGD. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa sebenarnya tiga prinsip dasar yang harus dipahami kembali oleh masyarakat suku Alas sebagai bentuk local indigenous, yaitu tulahan (kutukan akan perbuatan salah), pantang (menjaga diri dari hal-hal yang dilarang) dan kemali (menjaga diri dari hal-hal tabu dalam masyarakat) dapat menjadi benteng infiltrasi budaya. Ketiga hal tersebut menjadi dasar dalam membentuk karakter yang metoh simejile (mengetahui yang baik), kokhjeken simejile (melakukan yang baik), dan dhakhami simejile (mencintai yang baik).
The Law No. 29 of 2019 regarding the management of nutritional problems for children due to disease is the responsibility of the regional and central governments in saving lives by requiring special handling related to stunting. This study requires cooperation between the government and the family. Therefore, this study aims to examine how the convergence of each party by looking at stunting prevention programs and efforts at the village level, especially in the Pandrah area, Bireuen Regency, Aceh using an ethnographic approach. This approach is in the form of knowledge and the reality of daily life of the community and or family on eating patterns and behavior, nutrition, nutrition and community knowledge about stunting in children. The results showed that there were several factors for stunting such as heredity, environment and parenting patterns. These three factors require joint work between agencies in terms of prevention or prevention from the government and the community by establishing the Bu Gateng program and the community also knows the health pattern of cultural events at the village level, so that it has strengthened in supporting stunting prevention efforts.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang posisi Ulama Aceh sebagai roh kebudayaan untuk proses rekonsiliasi pasca konflik Aceh. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif pendekatan deskriptif, artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam konteks sosio kultural masyarakat aceh, posisi ulama masih menempati strata yang tinggi. Kontribusi dan peran ulama dalam lintas sejarah hingga saat ini telah mengakar dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat Aceh. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa dimensi kultural ulama sebagai ruh kebudayaan masyarakat Aceh dapat menjadi solusi dari rekonsiliasi Aceh untuk perdamaian yang berkelanjutan. Hal ini berarti bahwa pelibatan ulama aceh secara praktis dalam kerja rekonsiliasi dapat menjadi salah satu faktor pendukung perdamaian berkelanjutan di Aceh.
