RESUMO: O presente trabalho busca fazer uma síntese integrativa do conhecimento sobre o tema da formação do professor, com base na análise das dissertações e teses defendidas nos programas de pós-graduação em educação do país, de 1990 a 1996, dos artigos publicados em 10 periódicos da área, no período 90-97, e das pesquisas apresentadas no Grupo de Trabalho Formação de Professores da Anped, no período de 92 a 98.

RESUMO: Neste artigo, os autores analisam as novas diretrizes curriculares do curso de pedagogia, objeto de normatização do Conselho Nacional de Educação (CNE), em 2005, a partir do debate feito à luz do acervo de conhecimentos teórico-práticos sistematizados pelas principais entidades do campo educacional (ANFOPE, ANPED, CEDES, FORUMDIR, ANPAE).1 Evidenciam, criticamente, alguns dos problemas e das tensões que marcam a trajetória desse curso ao longo da história da educação brasileira. Focalizam, no âmbito das políticas educacionais, em especial, o movimento dos educadores pela definição das diretrizes curriculares para a formação dos profissionais da Educação Básica, que reflete posições de ordem epistemológica, pedagógica e política
O texto analisa setenta trabalhos apresentados no GT Formação de Professores da ANPEd, no período1992-1998. As pesquisas foram organizadas segundo cinco descritores: formação inicial de professores, formação continuada, práticas pedagógicas, profissionalização docente e revisão da literatura sobre formação de professores. O estudo procura oferecer uma visão compreensiva sobre as questões, os referenciais teóricos e os avanços do conhecimento na área, explorando relações, explicitando divergências e delineando tendências de pesquisa. O conjunto dos trabalhos traz contribuições para fundamentar e subsidiar propostas e políticas de formação e de desenvolvimento profissional docente.
RESUMO:Realizar uma discussão sobre as políticas de formação inicial e continuada de professores para os Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental (AIEF) e analisá-las no contexto da educação brasileira contemporânea é um dos desafios, que me imponho como objetivo deste artigo, em decorrência das pesquisas que venho desenvolvendo neste campo. Em face desta opção, outros desafios aqui se impõem na medida em que precisam ser discutidas também questões externas à formação inicial e continuada de professores, mas que interferem na qualidade da educação básica brasileira, entre elas a regulação e avaliação pelo Estado da formação de professores por meio de certificação de competências e a criação de um órgão regulador da profissão, por integrantes da categoria profissional de professor.Palavras-chave: Políticas educacionais.
