La presente propuesta intenta reflejar los beneficios de la práctica musical en el ámbito escolar para el alumnado con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). Más concretamente cómo a través de actividades de expresión corporal, vocal e instrumental se favorece la socialización y la afectividad con los iguales de un alumno concreto. Para comprender de manera adecuada la relevancia de la intervención llevada a cabo se ha establecido un marco teórico donde se reflejan las principales características que definen el TEA, la importancia de la estimulación temprana y la educación musical en Educación Infantil, y su vinculación con la musicoterapia. En esta línea, se han elaborado dos cuestionarios: uno dirigido al profesorado y otro al alumnado. Para conocer la situación inicial del alumno en cuestión, se han implementado diversas actividades musicales y finalmente se han vuelto a aplicar los mismos cuestionarios para conocer los resultados de la intervención. Estos muestran las mejoras que la práctica musical ofrece no sólo a los alumnos con TEA, sino a todos los del aula ordinaria. Además, el sociograma ha demostrado cómo el niño TEA ha sido mejor valorado socialmente por sus iguales tras estas actividades.
