Investigations on the Cross-Linking of Spent Swlfite LiqworSpent sulfite liquor is cross-linked by oxidative coupling to a cation exchange resin. Furthermore, the cross-linking of spent sulfite liquor by ten different polyfunctional compounds is investigated. The highest resin yields are obtained with epichlorohydrin and polyethyleneimine/ tris(chloroethyl)ammonium hydrochloride. rn the latter case, an anion exchange resin is obtained. -In model experiments, in which an attempt was made to establish the linkage between carbohydrates and IigTin, three crossed dilignols with a benzyl ether b o d were obtained froLn isoeugenol/glycol by oxidative coupling.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
