Objetivo: Conhecer a concepção de produção científica representada por meio da política da Revista Contabilidade e Finanças (RC&F).
Método: O estudo tem abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa. O trabalho descritivo foi desenvolvido por meio da análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2016) e por meio do software UCINET 6. As inferências foram realizadas por meio da estatística básica (percentuais).
Resultados: Os editores associados da RC&F são conselheiros de expressiva força ideológica no periódico. Os atributos relevância e ineditismo alicerçam a concepção de produção científica da RC&F, tal concepção guarda influência da Universidade de São Paulo, e de outras entidades técnicas, de educação e pesquisa nacionais e internacionais.
Contribuições: Os atributos norteadores da concepção de ciência veiculada pela RC&F podem gerar ruídos de comunicação por causa da subjetividade que esses expressam. Fato que pode acarretar em reprodução de temáticas, metodologias e teorias na busca um modelo de produção científica “relevante”, apesar de constar da política editorial da revista a ideologia do ineditismo e da “pluralidade ontológica e epistemológica”. Percebe-se efeito “propagandístico” pelo uso dos verbos divulgar e disseminar. Além disso, os artigos precisam ser inéditos e teóricos, já os trabalhos requerem o atributo teórico-empírico, ainda que na prática a RC&F.
Este estudo objetiva conhecer a concepção e o perfil de docentes vinculados ao curso de Graduação em Ciências Contábeis de duas Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES), públicas e federais do Nordeste brasileiro, acerca da pesquisa científica como instrumento de construção do conhecimento. Bem como, informar sobre as condições de infraestrutura das IES para a prática da pesquisa como mediação da aprendizagem. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e exploratório, com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. As instituições foram escolhidas por acessibilidade e para a coleta de dados adotou-se questionário eletrônico com questões fechadas, que se dividiu em duas partes: a primeira composta por questões de múltipla escolha e a segunda por questões estruturadas com a Escala de Likert.
