El lenguaje motivacional es una herramienta comunicacional clave que los gerentes utilizan para motivar a sus colaboradores en el alcance de objetivos estratégicos. Este constructo se basa en tres dimensiones: lenguaje de orientación / reducción de la incertidumbre, lenguaje empático y lenguaje de creación de significado. El propósito del presente estudio fue analizar el lenguaje motivacional como estrategia de validación para la toma de decisiones en las organizaciones. El diseño y metodología fue cuantitativo, transversal y utilizó encuestas para validar estadísticamente el constructo lenguaje motivacional bajo el análisis factorial confirmatorio. El instrumento de medición utilizado fue el desarrollado por Mayfield, Mayfield, & Kopf (1995), se utilizó la escala de Likert de siete puntos. Los participantes fueron 255 empleados del área administrativa de empresas públicas y privadas situadas en la ciudad de Guayaquil, Posorja y Milagro, Ecuador. El instrumento de medición para el lenguaje motivacional se ajustó a la población estudiada con diecisiete variables observables. Para analizar la variable toma de decisiones se seleccionaron estudios relacionados con la comunicación para establecer una asociación de cualidades. Se concluye que el lenguaje motivacional contribuye a un clima laboral propicio para la toma de decisiones tanto del líder como de los empleados. La cualidad que predomina en los participantes estudiados es el lenguaje empático como la forma más efectiva de comunicación de los líderes.
A un año de haber asumido el cargo de presidente del Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso afronta una de las más profundas crisis, que ha vivido el país en los últimos 20 años. Ante eso, los mainstream media informan desde una mirada poco crítica. No así el canal Teleamazonas, que ha lanzado al aire varios reportajes altamente cuestionadores hacia el gobierno del presidente Lasso. Para este análisis se ha usado la metodología del framing; se ha hecho un análisis de contenido de las opiniones que generaron los reportajes de Teleamazonas en Twitter; y se han efectuado entrevistas de profundidad.
Este trabajo nace de la preocupación de los integrantes del proyecto, por la no presencia de indígenas y afrodescendientes en los telediarios de la televisión ecuatoriana, así como por la percepción que tienen los representantes de estas razas por los estereotipos que les atribuyen, especialmente, en los programas cómicos. Todo esto, pese a que la Ley Orgánica de Comunicación prohíbe la discriminación, además es inclusiva y promueve la multiculturalidad y la plurinacionalidad en todos los niveles. La metodología utilizada para esta investigación fue el Análisis Crítico del Discurso de la Discriminación Percibida, basada en la taxonomía elaborada por el científico australiano David Mellor. Para ello, se entrevistó (con un cuestionario de preguntas abiertas) a una muestra no probabilística por conveniencia conformada por personas afrodescendientes e indígenas, de la ciudad de Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Este trabajo tiene como objetivo elaborar una propuesta comunicativa que contribuya a mejorar los comportamientos de la televisión nacional, respecto al tema de la inclusión e igualdad social, se tratará de analizar cómo la Ley Orgánica de Comunicación intenta que los mass media respeten los derechos de las minorías raciales conculcados por siglos. La investigación además aporta con la educación de las comunidades afroecuatorianas e indígenas, comunidades a las que va dirigida. Esta propuesta lo que ofrece es la inclusión de estas razas en espacios televisivos sin fomentar la discriminación ni el racismo y trata de buscar la unión de etnias y enseñar los sucesos del proceso de inclusión en la nación. A lo largo del estudio de este proyecto de titulación, el lector reconocerá de qué manera ha sido incluido gradualmente el afroecuatoriano y el indígena en el país, y cómo se forjó la historia de los comunicadores, periodistas o reporteros afros e indígenas en otras partes del mundo. Para realizar el presente estudio se tomó una muestra no probabilística por conveniencia compuesta por 15 personas indígenas, que trabajan en mercados de la ciudad de Guayaquil; y, 15 personas afrodescendientes, que viven en Guayaquil, por diferentes motivos. Ellos fueron encuestados con el fin de saber si perciben que en la televisión ecuatoriana discriminan a las personas de sus razas. Además, se les preguntó si la Ley Orgánica de Comunicación ha contribuido para que esta discriminación vaya disminuyendo progresivamente. Sus respuestas son valiosas aportaciones en la lucha contra la marginación social que sufren indígenas y afrodescendientes en el Ecuador.
El presente artículo comienza fijando el concepto y algunas de las principales características principales características del “periodismo comunitario”. Este fenómeno viene desarrollándose ya desde hace varias décadas pero que sin duda ha cobrado nuevo vigor con el desarrollo y potencialidades de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación. Esta coyuntura generalizada en la sociedad actual hace posible en nuestro caso no sólo la multiplicación de las llamadas audiencias de los medios, sino también las posibilidades de éstas de contribuir a la construcción de sus contenidos, informaciones y opiniones, como expresión de ciudadanía y democracia. Además de una exhaustiva revisión bibliográfica y documental, la investigación se vale de la aplicación del análisis de contenido para abordar la experiencia de dos medios paradigmáticos: la Emisora “Radio Amor” y la Sección “La Península” del Diario “Súper”, ambos de la provincia de Santa Elena, Ecuador. Los datos evidencian comportamientos y resultados diferentes entre un medio y otro. El primero, constituye de hecho un medio doctrinal y de entretenimiento, bajo la influencia de la institución religiosa que guía y respalda su programación, cuyo contenido se centra en la difusión de temas musicales nacionales e internacionales, además de algunos espacios dedicados a asuntos y actividades propios de la iglesia patrocinadora; en cambio, la Sección Península de Diario “Super”, puede considerarse como un prototipo de medio centrado en los problemas, intereses, identidad y aportes propios de la comunidad que constituye su razón de ser.
