Penelitian ini merupakan model penelitian pengembangan (R & D) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah yang valid dan praktis untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematissiswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 012 KP. Panjang Airtiris. Produk yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini berupa bahan ajar LKS dengan materi Operasi Hitung Bilangan, Pengukuran dan Hubungan Antarsatuanberbasis RME dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah untuk siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Model pengembangan yang dilakukan sesuai dengan Model ADDIE, yaitu analisis (Analysis), desain (Design), pengembangan (Development), implementasi (Implementation), dan evaluasi (Evaluation). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahlembar uji validitas, lembar uji praktikalitas, dan soal postes. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas, LKS berbasis RME dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid dengan persentase 81%. Sedangkan hasil uji praktikalitas saat uji coba kelompok besar, LKS berbasis RME dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah termasuk kategori sangat praktis dengan persentase 94,07%. Berdasarkan hasil postes, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa sudah tergolong baik dengan persentase 79,14%
Kemudahan, keakuratan dan tepat waktu merupakan alasan kenapa teknologi informasi dibutuhkan saat ini walau hal ini membutuhkan biaya yang besar dari sisi pengadaannya. Hal ini juga yang menjadi alasan kenapa Universitas Pahlawan memanfaatkannya untuk memberikan pelayanan kepada para mahasiswa dan memberikan kemudahan bagi karyawannya dalam bidang administrasi akademik. sebagai satu-satunya universitas di Kabupaten Kampar dan letaknya yang begitu dekat dengan ibukota Propinsi Riau yang merupakan pusat pendidikan di kawasan ini, sudah menjadi keharusan bagi pihak kampus untuk meningkatkan pelayanannya dalam upaya meningkatkan daya saing dengan institusi pendidikan lainnya. Salah satunya ialah dengan menerapkan Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Akademik berbasis Teknologi Informasi. Dengan segenap kemudahan dan keunggulan yang ditawarkannya diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dan nilai tambah bagi Universitas Pahlawan untuk turut serta dalam mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa kita ini.
The objectives of this research were to figure out the contribution of prior knowledge, appreciation of mathematics and logical-mathematical intelligence toward the ability to solve mathematical problems as well as to explore the errors made by students in solving mathematical problems concerning polyhedron. The population of this research consisted of 3,583 students of grade IX of all state middle schools across over Denpasar City. The sampling technique we used was a stratified cluster random sampling technique with samples number of 553 students. The type of this research is ex-post facto research with path analysis technique. The data were collected by using questionnaires and carrying out a mathematical ability test. Furthermore, the kinds of students answers on the ability to solve mathematical problems were analyzed to study the errors made by the students. The results of the research show two regression relationships, namely X3 = 0.523X1 + 0.636X2 + 0.506ɛ3 and Y = 0.640X1 + 0.264X2 + 0.280X3 + 0.311ɛY. The first regression relationship indicates that (1) the contribution of mathematical appreciation towards prior knowledge is of 52.3 percent, and (2) the contribution of logical-mathematical intelligence towards prior knowledge is of 63.3 percent. Whereas the second regression relationship describes that (1) the direct contribution of mathematical appreciation towards the ability of solving mathematical problems is of 64 percent, and the indirect contribution is of 14.6 percent, (2) the direct contribution of logical-mathematical intelligence to the ability of solving mathematical problems was is of 26.4 percent, and the indirect contribution is of 17.8 percent, (3) the direct contribution of prior knowledge towards the ability solving mathematical problems is of 28 percent, (4) the mathematical appreciation and logical-mathematical intelligence contributed simultaneously towards prior knowledge is of 74.4 percent, (5) the mathematical appreciation, logical-mathematical intelligence, and prior knowledge contributed simultaneously towards the ability to solve mathematical problems is 90.3 percent. Furthermore, based on the analysis of students answers in mathematical ability test showed that the students still made errors in the concept of prior knowledge, in interpreting questions and weaknesses in arithmetic skills related to logical-mathematical intelligence.
Purpose of study: The teaching profession is often seen as a non-rewarding career due to high burden duties that the teachers must endure. Consequently, many teachers lose interest in teaching, which resulted in a lack of job satisfaction. However, this profession has been chosen due to intrinsic, extrinsic and altruistic motivation. In view of this, there are some factors that are not explored in depth in a teaching career at Vocational Colleges.The purpose of this study is to explore Malaysian Vocational College teachers’ career choice. The goals of this research are to discover factors that lead Malaysian Vocational College teachers to pursue teaching and to identify the sub-factors in preparing them to be vocational teachers. Methodology: The development of the constructs Malaysian Vocational College teachers’ career choice is based on 114 literature review articles. This goal is accomplished through 5 panels of experts consensus through the online questionnaires. Online questionnaires are chosen to conduct the survey because of its good review and user-friendliness. All levels of the agreement will be elevated by using the Fliess Kappa (K ) because more than 2 respondents. Fleiss Kappa is then used to evaluate the level of agreement between the raters. Result: There are six major key factors found: family influence, socio-cultural influence, individual, situational and spiritual. There are 130 items developed and the overall finding K value is 0.55. Nevertheless, the K value within six major key factors is 0.4 to 0.86. The expert panels agree that this questionnaire might be acceptable with some improvement based on their additional comments in the online form. Based on this validation process, this questionnaire can be used in selecting the quality of Malaysian Vocational College teachers or TVET instructors. For the next step, this questionnaire will be conducted on 52 excellent teachers at Malaysian Vocational Colleges to understand in depth the key factors that significantly influence the decision of an individual to enter the vocational teaching profession in Malaysian Vocational Colleges. Implications/Applications: In the future, the findings on this research will expose rich sources on the field of teaching and will be helpful to identify some high-quality TVET teachers in Malaysian Vocational College.
