Penyengat Island has a valuable historical footprint not only for Indonesia but also for Malaysia and Singapore, as well as having a wealth of ancient literacy and influential religious values. Data were collected from tourists visiting Penyengat Island through distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents, combined with in-depth interviews, focused discussions with representative and competent key persons related to the issues discussed. This study found that the accommodation and amenities components are still the main problems in developing tourism on Penyengat Island. The factors of tourism management, tourist safety, public awareness of tourism, and environmental preservation are other central issues that need attention. The development of broad tourism promotion using information technology media and supported by professional management will be able to accelerate the tourism growth of Penyengat Island. Purpose of this study is to measure the dynamics of historical and religious tourism on Penyengat Island using the 5 A attribute approach (attractions, accessibility, accommodation, amenities and awareness). This research is focused on the empirical conditions of the dynamics of tourism development in Penyengat Island, with a qualitative descriptive research method through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observations, and transects. The attributes of accommodation, amenities, and awareness of public tourism are still low. The main factor of the problem lies in the management of tourism in Penyengat Island that has not been done professionally and integratedly by targeting foreign tourists Overall and integrated tourism management by building destinations that ensure the comfort and safety of tourists, building information technology-based promotional media that can reach the wider community, and building a network of partnerships with stakeholders in the development of tourist destinations and strengthening human resources.

The country must strengthen their commitments to ensure ocean resources are managed sustainably and equitably. This report aggregates the best available data and provides in-depth analysis on marine and fisheries issues to encourage evidence-based approaches in decision-making processes.
Lembah Harau is a nature tourism park in Lima Puluh Kota Regency. Lembah Harau area has with strong potential to attract tourist both in natural attraction and man-made attraction. Concept of tourist area life cycle is used to analyze the position of Lembah Harau based on that concept and then to develop sustainable tourism in Lembah Harau. Sarosah Village is a man-made attraction in Lembah Harau. In which it has the role towards man-made and natural attraction in Lembah Harau area are needed to develop the area for sustainable tourism development. There is the strong relationship between Sarosah Village and Lembah Harau itself to bring the Lembah Harau area to rejuvenation level. Based on natural attraction, Lembah Harau area is consolidation to stagnation level. Although, the concept of Sarosah Village is difference with Lembah Harau area’s concept as a conservation area. But Sarosah Village gives the positive impact to develop Lembah Harau and Sarasah Village is following the sustainable development tourism concept.

Research involving women’s Tanjung Talok Village as the object of study aims to analyze the role of women in utilizing the local potential and can be used as business products in Tanjung Talok Village. In Tanjung Talok village, there are five local communities (groups), and each group has one effect of being developed. This study did in Tanjung Talok village from March until July 2021. Furthermore, the research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The data obtained were analyzed by a qualitative descriptive approach. The variable in this research is women in Tanjung Talok village who have still productive to develop a small business product. The results showed that the role of Tanjung Talok in utilizing local potential was not maximized. From a total of 104 family data, it was known that women who had businesses based on local potential were 15 women with products such as fish crackers, gamat oil, chips, peanut brittle, chili paste, and other small businesses. The role of Tanjung Talok women is maximized by having a business group with Tanjung Talok’s women to develop small Business or household products. Most women in Tanjung Talok have the skill to process those products. Marketing and packaging are challenging to create those products due to women in Tanjung Talok don’t have much talent or experience on their part. The following research has to focus on analyzing the effectiveness of the management model that will apply in Tanjung Talok village
