Researchers and scholars have widely attributed corporate social responsibility (CSR) to enormous outcomes. However, the customer-specific outcomes are either less investigated or lack clarity. By focusing on perceptual, attitudinal and behavioral outcomes of CSR, this study entails that CSR influences customers’ citizenship behavior (behavioral outcome) both directly and indirectly (through service quality and affective commitment—perceptual and attitudinal outcomes). Survey data collected from 669 fast-food restaurant customers were analyzed through the structural equation modeling technique. The results revealed a positive and significant relationship between restaurants’ CSR efforts and customers’ behavioral responses in terms of citizenship behavior. Findings also highlight that CSR does not only have a direct relation but the sequential mediation mechanism also exists. The study extends the existing literature by focusing on the ignored causal link of CSR and customer citizenship behavior (CCB) by considering the service quality and affective commitment as an explanatory mechanism, and provides certain practical implications which could also be useful for managers of the restaurant industry to devise their socially responsible practices.
Pollution has become a major source of concern for the majority of people at present. Pollution is primarily caused by automobiles. Everybody wants to live in a pollution-free society. Nevertheless, India’s automobile registrations are growing at a rapid pace. Increased automobile usage will have a negative effect on the environment. As a result, our modes of transportation must be sustainable and environmentally friendly. The solution to this dilemma is electric vehicles. However, electric vehicle adoption is not occurring at a rate that is desirable in India, although it is anticipated to grow in the coming years. Numerous automobile manufacturers are ramping up production of electric automobiles. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the primary factors that influence the adoption of electric vehicles. This study includes five independent variables: financial incentives, charging infrastructure, social reinforcement, environmental concern, and price, and one dependent variable, electrical vehicle adoption. The data for the present study was collected from 366 randomly selected respondents across India. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were used to analyze the data. The study’s findings demonstrate that pricing has a substantial impact on the adoption of electric vehicles.
This study aims to investigate the factors that influence consumer satisfaction with e-grocery shopping. Moreover, it also delves into factors that motivate shoppers to buy groceries from online retailers rather than conventional stores. A primary survey was administered to collect data. Initially, 500 questionnaires were circulated to respondents. People who have ordered groceries from online sites were the expected respondents. In this study, convenience sampling was used, and data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings affirmed the relationship between consumer satisfaction and perceived convenience, risk factors, perceived product quality, and time value. However, perceived value and value for the time have a little significant effect on consumer satisfaction. There have been relatively few academic studies that look at the variables that influence customer satisfaction when shopping for groceries online. Most of the studies look at the variables that influence consumer satisfaction in the life insurance and financial services industries. By analyzing the data from Delhi and the Nation Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi, this research aims to bridge this gap available in the literature.
Organizations place great value on corporate social responsibility (CSR), as it has been found to influence customer attitudes and intentions. This study analyzed the impact of CSR on consumers’ purchase intentions. The significance of this study arises from the fact that all progressive companies are increasing their expenditure on CSR activities. In this study, purchase intention was considered as a dependent variable, while trust, ethical, and legal CSR activities were the independent variables. Data for the study was collected from 210 randomly chosen respondents from amongst consumers of Delhi and National Capital Region of India. The data, analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling, found that trust, ethics, and legal CSR activities directly impacted consumer purchase intentions. These results indicate that legal factors do not significantly influence the corporate decision on spending on CSR activities. On the other hand, ethical factors and trust factors significantly influence the corporate decision on expenditure on CSR activities. The findings highlight companies’ requirements to be conscious of their social image. Probable limitations of the study could include sample size and the number of variables chosen.
Despite of all recent developments towards the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR), its significance is still under-emphasized. The research community still realizes the importance of CSR for the uplifting social well being and reducing vulnerabilities by increasing natural disasters. Academic institutions can also play a very important role to promote the spirit of social responsibility among student -the future business leaders. The objective of this study is to measure university student's perceptions and level of awareness towards socially responsible actions undertaken by universities in Pakistan. An exhaustive survey is conducted to collect data regarding student's perceptions towards nature and level of CSR actions performed by universities in Pakistan. The result shows that the student pays great attention to socially responsible initiatives taken by universities. Such activities also develop a socially responsible attitude among students which is very important for developing responsible business leaders. The applications and implications of this research are also discussed in detail.
Vehicles are classified as a mobile source of pollution worldwide. This problem is compounded in countries like India, where the population is enormous, and the number of automobiles increases quickly. To overcome this issue, governments and individuals must adopt electric vehicles and maximize the use of eco-friendly vehicles. However, the adoption of electric vehicles in India is gradual. One of the reasons is the attitude towards traditional and electric vehicles. This study’s primary objective is to determine how attitude influences the adoption of electric vehicles. The topic is vital since the attitude provided by numerous studies influences the intention to buy anything. This study considered one dependent variable (electric vehicle adoption) and one mediating variable (attitude) along with five independent variables. The data collection method was straightforward, and the sample size was 366 respondents. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA), structural equation modeling (SEM), and mediation analysis were used to analyze the data. All adopted constructs were trustworthy, with average variance extracted exceeding 0.55, composite reliability exceeding 0.75, and factor loadings exceeding 0.70 for most. The model fit indices were also found to be significant on several parameters. Among all other variables, only financial incentives affect electric vehicle adoption. In other circumstances, opinions did not influence customer uptake of electric vehicles.
Intensive use of non-renewable resources like coal and crude oil has created several issues and challenges such as the worsening greenhouse effect, depletion of fossil fuels, air pollution, global warming, and climate change. A few remedies have been implemented to address these issues caused by the heavy use of nonrenewable fuels. Developing and adopting green energy technologies is a step in the same direction. Green energy technologies have the potential to reduce the world’s carbon footprint, and waste and increase the efficiency of energy production. This can lead consumers to save money and the environment. This research work intends to determine important factors affecting the purchase intention of green energy technologies. There are four independent variables and one dependent variable. Data was collected from 342 randomly selected respondents from Delhi and NCR. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze collected data. The main findings of this study are that perceived risk and functional factors impact the consumers’ green technology purchase intention substantially.
