Objetivo: Verificar o destino dos sujeitos classificados como inimputáveis no Instituto Médico Legal do Centro de Perícias Científicas “Renato Chaves”, analisando os fatores determinantes dos desfechos possíveis. Métodos: Trata-se de estudo transversal realizado com 76 periciandos considerados inimputáveis, nos anos de 2012 a 2013, em centro forense no estado do Pará. Os dados foram obtidos através de protocolo de pesquisa revisando o exame de responsabilidade penal, e analisados pelos testes de Qui-quadrado de Aderência e o Teste Exato de Fisher. Resultados: Na casuística destacou-se: o gênero masculino (89,5%), nível escolar: ensino fundamental (55,3%), e crimes hediondos (51,3%). As análises que tiveram relevância estatística foram: preponderância de crimes hediondos cometidos pelos periciandos submetidos à medida de segurança detentiva (44,7%), e internações como medida de segurança com frequência relevante para aqueles com transtornos psicóticos (39,5%) abuso de substâncias psicoativas e retardo mental (13,2%). Conclusão: A medida de segurança detentiva foi a mais frequente, justificadas pelos transtornos psicóticos. Apenas o tipo de crime e o grupo dos transtornos psicóticos foram determinantes sobre a escolha do tipo de medida de segurança. O acompanhamento desses pacientes desde a atenção básica pode minimizar o risco de desfechos negativos tanto para si quanto para a sociedade.
Objetivo: avaliar a prevalência de distúrbios vocais em professores dos Campi de uma universidade pública em Belém, Pará. Método: estudo prospectivo, transversal e descritivo, o qual envolveu 188 docentes entrevistados por meio de um questionário autoaplicável acerca da qualidade de voz, no período de abril de 2014 a março de 2015. Resultados: dos sintomas questionados: 99 (53,2%) referiram irritação na garganta; 77 (40,9%) relataram pigarro; 75 (33,9%) queixaram-se de rouquidão; e 48 (25,5%) disseram ter sensação de corpo estranho na garganta. Dos fatores de risco: apenas 24 (12,8%) eram tabagistas; 130 (69,1%) trabalhavam até 40 horas/semana; 162 (86,2%) lidavam com no máximo 40 alunos/sala. Dos fatores de proteção: 113 (60,1%) praticavam atividade física; 79 (42%) receberam orientações de proteção laboral; 63 (33,5%) realizavam algum cuidado especial com a voz; 80 (42,5%) relataram ingerir água adequadamente. Conclusão: houve baixa prevalência de distúrbios vocais, sendo a irritação na garganta o sintoma mais referido. Evidenciou-se correlação estatisticamente significante entre a prática de exercício físico, como fator de proteção, e a sensação de corpo estranho na garganta, assim como, entre a prática de cuidados especiais, como fator de risco, e a rouquidão. Ressalta-se a necessidade de assistência multiprofissional para o correto exercício da docência. Descritores: medicina do trabalho; disfonia; docência; qualidade de vida; otorrinolaringologia.
Background: The aim of this study was to analyze the demographic, ethyological and clinical aspects of patients with liver cirrhosis treated in the Chronic Liver Disease Center. Methods: a descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective study based on the analysis of 580 pacients’ medical records with the diagnosis of hepatic cirrhosis treated from 2004 to 2014 in Belém, Brazil. Conclusions: the profile was predominantly of male patients, aged between 51 and 60 years, coming from the capital Belem, whose main etiologies of cirrhosis were C hepatitis and alcohol. Ascites was the most frequent clinical manifestation and Child-Pugh score A was the most prevalent.
