The reform of the liturgy is to be “marked by the gong of tradition and the spirit of genuine renewal”. This “motto” of liturgical renewal reminds us of the importance of being aware that both tradition and our contemporary situation need to be experienced together in our celebrations. The purpose of the liturgical renewal by the Second Vatican Council, was not renewal for the sake of renewal itself, but rather so that celebrations produced by such reform are meaningful for the active participation of the people of God. To achieve this ideal, judicious considerations need to be taken regarding tradition and contemporary developments. One important fruit of the analysis of the Second Vatican Council is that active participation should become ever wider and deeper in our liturgical celebrations. Participation that is both active and conscious whether physically, together with the whole rich genius of the culture, or spiritually, is a part of the richness of grace for which we should indeed thank God. The presence of Sacrosanctum concilium invites all social levels and classes to participate actively and consciously in sacrificial celebrations and in the Lord’s Supper. Kata-kata kunci: Sacrosanctum Concilium, pembaruan, liturgi, misale, partisipasi, aktif dan sadar, inkulturasi, Gereja, umat Allah, rubrik, kurban, keselamatan.
Commitment is a promise or attachment to a particular object or subject and is related to the personal social aspect. In the context of religious life, the commitment of a religious person or who chooses to live as nun is a pledge of vows; purity, obedience and poverty. This research aims to see life commitment deepen in the perspective of organizational commitment according to Meyer and Allen. Respondents in this study were 14 junior sisters, those who were already in the relationship but still in formal assistance by formators or counselors. Qualitative research was used as a methode in this research. Of the three models of organizational commitment, affective commitment is a commitment that is in line with the commitment of religious life. The findings show that life commitment of the sisters, in the perspective of organizational commitment, is still in the process of growth towards affective commitment. The respondents need to be accompanied in order to grow towards affective commitment or commitment to religious life

ABSTRACT:

This article talks about the problem of violence against women in the Maumere and Larantuka dioceses, Flores, NTT and how religion (Catholic Church) functions in dealing with it. The aim is to identify the forms of violence, their causes and effects in both dioceses and what the function of religion (Catholic Church) is to prevent and deal with these problems. Interview methods, focused group discussions (FGD) and document studies were used to collect data, while descriptive qualitative analysis was used for data analysis. The results show that violence against women is found in both areas of the diocese with physical, psychological, verbal, economic, cultural-based and online violence. The Catholic Church through the Diocesan Commission on Gender and Women's Empowerment carries out educational, control, fraternal, and transformative functions. This is done in direct collaboration and through networks with multi-stakeholders, although this is not sufficient. This study recommends the importance of strengthening institutional capacity and increasing network collaboration.

KEYWORDS: Commission on Gender and Women's Empowerment, institutional capacity, network collaboration, violence against women, women empowerment.

Story-telling often conveys a message about a particular problem. The bitter stories of victims as recorded here are just a small part of many such experiences which pierce our conscience, abusing the dignity that is within each one of us. Besides these stories, this essay includes data from victims to remind us that today we face an extremely serious problem in human trafficking. From the cases handled by the Women’s Division of TRUK-F (a faith-based human rights NGO), it is clear that many parties are responsible, commencing with individuals and families, but including government institutions. The problem of human trafficking can befall anyone. TRUK-F has struggled to accompany victims while active in awarenessbuilding campaigning about the problem. The number of cases increases starkly by the day while the bitter stories of the victims, together with the anxiety and restlessness of their families, should invite the concern of everybody to engage in assisting victims while advocating for the ending of this inhuman trade. Kata-kata Kunci: Perdagangan orang, rekrut, korban perempuan, korban anak, pelaku, calo, sindikat, kekerasan, dinas pemerintah, PUB, Polisi, Divisi Perempuan TRUK-F, advokasi, Pastoral Gereja.
