Endometriosis as the cause of sciatica by direct involvement of the sciatic nerve is extremely rare. This condition was first described by Denton and Sherrill (6). In relation to this issue, the most important thing is that neuropathy can occur over time, and because diagnosis is usually delayed for years, serious and often irreversible consequences that affect the quality of life of patients happen. We report our experience in the diagnosis, management and treatment of two cases of endometriosis with histologic confirmation affecting the sciatic nerve.
