Ārsts psihiatrs Arnolds Laksbergs (1901-1983) bijis ilggadējs Jelgavas psihoneiroloģiskās slimnīcas "Ģintermuiža" ārsts, viens no bērnu psihiatrijas attīstītājiem Latvijā [1]. Medicīnas vēsturnieku aprindās A. Laksbergs pazīstams arī kā aizrautīgs kolekcionārs, medicīnas vēstures pētnieks un Latvijas psihiatrijas vēstures muzeja izveidotājs Jelgavā [2]. Arnolds Laksbergs absolvējis Medicīnas fakultāti 1931. gadā [3]. Nemierīgie un traģiskie 20. gadsimta notikumi Latvijas vēsturē atspoguļojas arī A. Laksberga darba gaitās. Vairākkārt mainot darba vietas, A. Laksbergs par psihiatru strādājis teju visās Latvijas psihiatriskajās klīnikās. Psihiatra darba gaitas viņš iesāka LU klīniskajā bāzē Sarkankalna slimnīcā sākotnēji (no 1925. gada) kā voluntieris klīnikā, vēlāk kā voluntārasistents Psihiatrijas katedrā [4]. No 1933. līdz 1938. gadam A. Laksbergs bija galvenais ārsts Daugavpils psihiatriskajā slimnīcā, bet no 1938. līdz 1940. gadam viņš vadīja Strenču psihiatrisko slimnīcu. Kara laikā īslaicīgi par psihiatru strādājis Ģintermuižā (1941-1942) un Aleksandra Augstumu iestādē (1940 un 1944-1946). Pēc Otrā pasaules kara 1946. gadā A. Laksbergs atkal ieradās Ģintermuižā-šoreiz, lai tur aizvadītu visu savu garo darba mūžu [5]. Paula Stradiņa Medicīnas vēstures muzeja krājumā lielu materiālu kopu veido Arnolda Laksberga atstātās rakstveida liecības psihiatrijas vēsturē [6]. Starp tām īpašu uzmanību piesaista A. Laksberga atmiņas par mazākzināmu notikumu Latvijas psihiatrijas vēsturē-par Latvijā pirmās psihiatriskās kolonijas organizēšanu [7]. Pasaulē pēc Filipa Pinela reformām psihiatrijā (1793) hroniski slimo aprūpes problēma bieži tika risināta, organizējot tā saucamās psihiatriskās kolonijas, kuru uzdevums bija gan pacientu aprūpe un uzraudzība, gan viņu nodarbināšana vienkāršos darbos, kurus viņiem bija pa spēkam veikt [8]. Latvijā pastāvēja prakse organizēt vasaras kolonijas bērniem [9], tomēr par psihiatrisko koloniju pastāvēšanu līdz 1940. gadam pagaidām ziņu trūkst. Latvijā tika praktizēta mierīgāko psihiatrisko slimnieku, kuriem nebija nepieciešama

Visā pasaulē pieauga interese par infekcijas slimību izplatības vēsturiskiem pētījumiem, un Starptautiskās medicīnas vēsturnieku biedrības prezidents, profesors Karlos Veska (Carlos Viesca), nāca klajā ar aicinājumu savas biedrības biedriem fiksēt mūsdienu epidemio loģisko ainu un faktus vienā konkrētā dienā visā pasaulē, proti, 2020. gada 7. aprīlī -Starptautiskajā veselības dienā.COVID-19 iekļūs pasaules medicīnas vēstures kanonos kā pirmā slimība, kuras izplatībai un upuru statistikai mūsdienu mediju un teh noloģiju pasaulē ik dienu varēja sekot ikviens no mums. Ziņu pār pilnība un skaitļu dažādā interpretācija ļāva novērot arī jaunās slimības moni torē ša nas paradig mas ietekmi uz sabiedrības garīgo veselību.Pandēmija būtiski koriģēja ne vien medicīnas vēstures pētījumu fokusu, bet arī 2020. gadā plānoto zīmīgāko medicīnas vēstures notikumu norises formātu un laiku. Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes anatomiskās kolekcijas zudušo vēsturi meklējot AnotācijaRīgas Stradiņa universitātes anatomiskās kolekcijas (turpmāk -kolekcija) sākums meklējams 1920. gadā, kad, veidojot 1919. gadā dibinātās Latvijas Augstskolas (no 1923. gada -Latvijas Universitāte) Medicīnas fakultātes Anatomijas institūtu, tajā tika atvērts arī Anatomijas muzejs. Gandrīz simts gadu laikā no Anatomijas muzeja izveidošanas brīža muzeja ekspozīciju, kolekciju un tās interpretāciju ir ietekmējuši gan pētnieki, gan preparatori, gan studenti, gan kuratori. Vairākkārt mainījusies muzeja institucionālā piederība un nosaukums, kā arī mērķauditorija. Vienīgā konstantā lieta Anatomijas muzeja vēsturē ir bijusi tā atrašanās vieta -līdz 2017. gadam muzeja ekspozīcija bija izvietota Kronvalda bulvārī 9, ēkā, kas 1877.-1879. gadā pēc arhitekta Heinriha Šēla projekta tika uzcelta Rīgas Pareizticīgo garīgajam semināram.2017. gadā kolekcija atgriezās Medicīnas fakultātes vēsturiskās mantinieces, Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes, valdījumā. Cabinets of curiosities), starp dažādu veidu artificalia, naturalia, scientifica, antiquita, exotica un mirabilia bija arī cilvēku ķermeņu daļas -svētās relikvijas, eksotiskas mumificētas cilvēku galvas, patoloģisku embriju preparāti, neparastas formas nierakmeņi u. c. 1 Agrīnajās kolekcijās pārsvarā bija kaulu u. c. sausie preparāti, līdz 17. gadsimtā tika atklāts, ka spirtā konservētas mīksto audu daļas iespējams ilgstoši saglabāt nemainīgas, tādēļ anatomu un ārstu veidotās anatomijas, patoloģijas un salīdzinošās anatomijas kolekcijas varēja skaitliski pieaugt un dažādoties. 19. gadsimtā, formalizējoties medicīnas izglītībai, uzplauka institucionālie muzeji, jo slimnīcas un medicīnas fakultātes, gan pārpērkot jau pastāvošas privātkolekcijas, gan radot jaunas, sāka veidot savus anatomijas un patoloģijas muzejus, 2 jo, kā 1836. gadā rakstīja skotu anatoms Frederiks Nokss (Frederick Knox; 1794-1873), katrs, kurš mēģina mācīt anatomiju bez muzeja, ir pelnījis tikt saukts par krāpnieku. 3 Ilgajā anatomisko kolekciju vēstures gaitā dinamisks, bet historiogrāfijā mazāk izvērtēts posms ir 20. gadsimts, kad gan vēsturiskās, gan jaunveidotās anatomiskās kolekcijas piedzīvoja krasi atšķirīgus notikumus: gads...
