Negation is a denial form in language which function to deny a statement of an interlocutor. This study aims to analyze words for negation in the Panyabungan Mandailingnese . The research used qualitative method and descriptive analysis. The data were collected from native speakers by means of interviewing, listening and note taking techniques. The Data were analyzed to find out the connotative meanings so as their negation functions were explained . The results of the study show that there are several words for negation in mandailingnese namely ‘inda’, ‘unang’, ‘nangkon’, ‘biai’, ‘anggo na’, and ‘nanggo’. There are also words for negation in Panyabungan Mandailingnese bound to auxiliary words such as a combination between ‘anggo’ and ‘na’ results in a form of negation. AbstrakPenegasian adalah bentuk pengingkaran yang sering digunakan dalam berbahasa dengan tujuan mengingkari suatu pernyataan oleh lawan bicara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kata negasi dalam bahasa Mandailing Panyabungan. Adapun metode yang dilakukan ialah metode kualitatif melalui analisis deskriptif pada data yang dikumpulkan dari narasumber atau penutur asli melalui teknik wawancara, simak, dan catat. Data diambil dan dianalisis hingga mendapatkan makna konotasi yang menjelaskan fungsi negasi tersebut. Dari analisis yang dilakukan ada banyak kalimat dalam BMP menggunakan metafora atau konotasi dalam penegasian. Keunikan yag terdapat pada negasi Mandailing dari beberapa klausa ialah kata negasi yang selalu berada pada awal kalimat, misalnya inda, anggo, nangkon, biai. Penegasian dalam BMP juga memiliki kata yang terikat dengan kata bantu seperti anggo dengan na yang apabila dihubungkan maka akan muncul bentuk negasi.
This article purposes to analyze the causative construction of Mandailing language as a typology in morphosyntaxis. This study provides an overview of the Mandailing contstruction forms that were often used by people in their daily lives as natural language in South Tapanuli District. The Methode used qualitative descriftive method. The data was obtained through proficient methods, record by analyzing in a conversation. Intuitive data were analyzed through morphemes and causative verbs of the Mandailing Batak language. The results of the analysis of the data on this study present an informal method in the form of exposure to three parts morphosyntactically causative construction including analytic, morphological, and lexical which the verb mambaen ‘make’ part of the causative verb. The Mandailing causative affixes of the Batak Mandailing to the results of the analysis are (ma-ko), (tar), (pa-kon), (pa-on), and (pa) in the causative morphology. Semantic parameters also have the same verb but have different meanings.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktek wacana pada slogan aksi demonstrasi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa sebagai fenomena baru dimasa sekarang. Dibalik selogan-slogan ditemukan adanya kekuatan dan keunikan yang menghegemoni dengan tinjauan aspek linguistik sebagai hasil ide mahasiswa untuk menyampaikan aspirasi kepada pemerintah. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan dan menyajikan data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis Norman Fairclough serta memadukannya dengan pendekatan unsur psikoanalisis Freudian. Dari hasil analisis data ditemukan adanya penggunaan teks dari segi liguistis yang mana Representasi anak kalimat menunjukkan pemilihan diksi dan majas personifikasi. Selanjutnya Representasi hubungan kalimat menujukkan adanya unsur pragmatik seperti “ilokusi” dan bahasa “sarkasme”. Dari seluruh pembentukkan wacana terdapat faktor yang mempengaruhi ide atau gagasan yang menghegomi bahasa. Fungsi Id ditekan oleh Ego dan Superego sebagai penyampai hasrat libido mahasiswa kedalam bentuk simbolik (slogan). Ranah simbolik tersebut menguasai pembentukan wacana. Kekuasaan hasrat menghegemoni kaum mahasiswa.
This study aimed to analyze the ecolexicon and morphology by typology in the community of Mandailing (BM) agriculture. Qualitative methods were used. Data were collected using several stages such as interviews, self-examination, documenting and note-taking. The study was carried out in areas where income was dominated by farming, precisely in South Tapanuli Regency. The results showed that the biotic environment in the lexicon was 36 or around 70.5%, and the abiotic environment was 15 or around 29.5%. The typology of words was dominated by nominal (39), verbs (7), and adjectives (2). Based on the exposure to ecolexicon forms and typologies found in the Mandailing language, several conclusions can be drawn: the lexicon found in BM has affixations such as prefixes (si-); there are other prefixes (ma-, mam-, mar-, mang-); and the suffix form (-on) is often used to express farming activities, when associated with nouns, which is an activity that is carried out to indicate the type of rice and banana. The main reason for the loss of the lexicon is that many traditional activities have been replaced by modern means. Keywords: Ecolinguistic, Mandailing, Community Agriculture
This study aims to analyze the function and realization of the meaning contained in the Poda ni Namonangon Ribut as an ancient script text contained in the Ulu Pungkut sub-district, Mandailing Natal district. This study uses a qualitative method with the documentation method in which the data is sourced from the Medan Archeology Agency. Data were analyzed using Systemic Functional Linguistics theory on Ideational Functions and to find metaphors of ideational meaning. The results of this study indicate the distribution of the relational process dominates from Participant, Cirmuntance. The realization of the meaning of the ideational function can be seen in the first, metaphor as a description of the community who want to have offspring, where the aim of Poda is ido napajadi boru "what makes a daughter". In the second, there is a metaphor that explains the word Na sundat realized with the words "Heavy Rain", "Divorce", "Birds perch", "ravine". In the third, shows that Poda has methafora like when the expectation is reached, it is the services of the writer "Shaman”. then when the writer has explained what the ingredients are. Social context of text that has a narrative and the author's conclusion about the solution to the problem of everyone who wants offspring in his family. The tradition of writing with the mandailing script (sumurat) became quite a tradition so that there are ancient texts in the traditional house became the animist beliefs and ideologies which can be seen in Bagas Godang.
