Remaja putri lebih rentan terkena anemia dibandingkan dengan remaja putra, karena remaja putri mengalami menstruasi setiap bulannya. Siklus menstruasi ini merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab remaja putri mudah terkena anemia defisiensi zat besi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan siklus menstruasi dengan kejadian anemia remaja putri di SMP Negeri 2 Kerambitan Kabupaten Tabanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah remaja putri SMP Negeri 2 Kerambitan berjumlah 290 siswi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 89 responden yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Analisis yang digunakan univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi square. Responden yang mengalami anemia sebesar 47 responden (52,8%) dan tidak mengalami anemia sebesar 42 responden (47,2%). Sedangkan responden yang mengalami siklus menstruasi tidak normal sebesar 44 responden (49,4%) dan yang mengalami siklus menstruasi normal sebesar 45 responden (50,6%). Hasil penelitiaan membuktikan ada hubungan hubungan antara siklus menstruasi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di SMP Negeri 2 Kerambitan Kabupaten Tabanan dengan nilai p = 0,001.
Penggunaan mikroorganisme efektif telah lama dikembangkan di Jepang oleh Prof. Teruo Higa pada tahun 1980-an. Teknologi ini kemudian diadopsi oleh salah satu pengusaha di Bali yaitu Ngurah Wididana untuk menciptakan berbagai produk dengan memanfaatkan mikroorganisme atau disebut Teknologi EM (Efective Microorganism). Limbah cair yang berasal dari sumber domestik hampir seluruhnya tidak dilakukan pengolahan sebelum dibuang ke lingkungan. Limbah dari usaha perhotelan yang kandungannya mirip dengan limbah domestik, sebagian besar hanya diolah dengan metode pengendapan dan aerasi. EM-4 merupakan bioteknologi dengan memanfaatkan mikroorganisme-mikroorganisme efektif yang terdiri campuran bakteri fotosintetik, bakteri asam laktat, mollase, ragi dan bakteri fermentasi. Penggunaan EM-4 perlu diaktivasi terlebih dahulu selama 7 hari sebelum digunakan untuk pengolahan limbah cair dengan penambahan langsung atau metode mud balls. EM-4 aktif memiliki keunggulan ekonomis, praktis, murah, dan multiguna. Sedangkan kelemahan EM-4 untuk limbah cair domestik dan perhotelan adalah waktu tunggu aktivasi yang lama dan bahan yang terdegradasi hanya bahan organik.
Madu lebah klanceng memiliki banyak manfaat diberbagai aspek seperti kesehatan, kecantikan dan pangan. Madu sebagai antibakteri tidak terlepas dari kandungan zat aktif yang ada didalamnya seperti hidrogen peroksida, senyawa flavonoid, minyak atsiri, dan berbagai senyawa organik lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat madu lebah klanceng terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli yang dilaksanakan dari bulan April – Juni 2018 di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Kedokteran dan Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Pangan Fakultas Teknologi Pangan Universitas Udayana. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan metode yang digunakan adalah uji sensitivitas bakteri dengan disk yang dibagi menjadi tujuh kelompok perlakuan konsentrasi madu lebah klanceng yaitu konsentrasi 15%, 30%, 45%, 60%, 75%, 90% dan 100% serta dua kelompok kontrol sebagai pembanding yaitu kontrol negatif (aquadest) dan kontrol positif (meropenem). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa madu lebah klanceng dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli dengan rerata daya hambat pada konsentrasi 15% (6 mm); 30% (6,33 mm); 45% (7,67 mm); 60% (9 mm); 75% (9,67 mm); 90% (11 mm); dan 100% (11,67 mm). Semakin tinggi konsentrasi madu lebah klanceng, maka semakin besar daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli. Hal tersebut diperkuat berdasarkan uji analisis Kruskal-Wallis yang dilanjutkan dengan post hoc U Mann-Whitney terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara masing-masing variasi konsentrasi madu lebah klanceng dengan nilai p=0,001 (p<0,05).
Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan termasuk didalamnya narapidana adalah terpidana yang menjalani pidana hilang kemerdekaan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan. Hilangnya kemerdekaan dapat berimplikasi pada berkurangnya aktivitas fisik seseorang serta timbul stres. Berkurangnya aktivitas fisik serta stres ini dapat memicu kenaikan kadar glukosa dalam darah yang merupakan salah satu gejala dari diabetes mellitus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi Diabetes mellitus pada WBP di Rumah Tahanan Negara Kelas IIB Bangli. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Tahanan Negara Kelas IIB Bangli. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, artinya mendeskripsikan hasil data bertujuan untuk membuat deskripsi secara sistematis, faktual serta akurat tentang fakta-fakta, sifat-sifat beserta hubungan diantara fenomena yang diteliti. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa prevalensi Diabetes mellitus pada warga binaan pemasyarakatan di Rumah Tahanan Negara Kelas IIB Bangli adalah sebanyak 4% dan Pre-diabetes sebanyak 12%. Jumlah prevalensi diabetes mellitus dan pre-diabetes ini lebih tinggi dari prevalensi diabetes mellitus di Indonesia pada tahun 2018 yaitu 8.5%.
Naskah ini merupakan hasil dari tugas Praktek Kerja Lapangan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis hama pada tumbuhan dan lebah Trigona sp. di agrowisata Lebah Royal Honey Sakah yang dilaksanakan pada hari Minggu, 22 Mei 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengamatan langsung dan studi literature. Adapun hasil yang didapat adalah ditemukan hama yang menyerang pada vegetasi tanaman di Agrowisata Lebah Royal Honey Sakah yang menjadi sumber pakan pada lebah Trigona sp. yaitu hama berupa kutu putih yang dapat berpindah tempat dengan cepat dengan begitu penyebaran dari hama ini sangat. Sedangkan hama pada lebah ditemukan semut, cicak, kalajengking, laba-laba dan tawon, hanya jenis tawon yang merupakan predator yang masih sulit di atasi sampai saat ini.
