The research aimed to find out the essential things which make wives feel loved. It inspired by the Five Love Languages theory from . This study involved 50 married women using a phenomenologic qualitative study. As a result, this study found five things that make the wife feel loved. Those grounded Love Languages are Communication, Receiving Gift, Family time, Acts of Service, and Character and Temperament. Furthermore, this study also found another theme beyond the wife's grounded Love Languages and labeled it as Uncategorized. Three of the love languages found in this study (communication, family time, and character and temperament) are unique and different from the original Chapman's theory. This finding will influence further study in understanding love languages in the Indonesian context.
