Abstract-This paper discusses the importance of employability skills of graduates in entering the workforce according to employers' perceptions, through a literature review. In 21 st century workplace, the occupation-specific skills are no longer sufficient for graduates to meet the needs of labour markets. Workers are nowadays expected to have an additional set of skills and attributes, called employability skills. Employability skills become a very important issue at the national, regional, and international labour market. The literature review found a number of employability skills attribute required by graduates in entering the workforce. Communication skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and teamwork skills are the attributes of employability skills with highest importance level. Graduates are also expected to have a number of personal attributes included: self-awareness, self-confidence, independence, emotional intelligence, flexibility and adaptability, stress tolerance, creativity and initiative, willingness to learn, reflectiveness, lifelong learning, and professional behaviour.
Purpose of the study: The current study was intended to know the Balinese language had a unique speech system levels referred to anggah-ungguh basa, unlike the Indonesian language and the ethical-moral values of the Balinese speech system that positively impacts the social behaviour toward their speakers. Methodology: The present study was a qualitative study that was applied to the structuralism theory. The data were obtained through library research using the note-taking technique. The data collected were analyzed using the analytical descriptive method. Main Findings: There were unique Balinese speech system consists of the fifteen ethical-moral values: (1) religious, (2) honest, (3) tolerant, (4) discipline, (5) creative, (6) democratic, (7) wondering, (8) homeland loving, (9) friendship/communicative, (10) peace-loving, (11) awareness, and (12) responsible. Applications of this study: This study can be useful to the social behavior regarded the way of speaking based on the speech level. Novelty: The uniqueness was due to the respectful attitude of their speakers to one another.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan perangkat penilaian guna mengevaluasi capaian employability skills yang diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran aplikasi basis data. Model penilaian yang dikembangkan merupakan kombinasi dari penilaian diri sendiri dan penilaian otentik, diusulkan dengan sebutan model authentic self-assessment. Langkah-langkah pengembangan model authentic self-assessment meliputi penentuan standar, penentuan tugas otentik, pembuatan kriteria, dan pembuatan rubrik. Hasil pengembangan perangkat penilaian terdiri atas: (1) model penilaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah; (2) model penilaian kemampuan mengelola diri sendiri; dan (3) model penilaian capaian pembelajaran aplikasi basis data. Model ini dapat digunakan untuk menilai aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Hasil uji coba meng-indikasikan capaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan mengelola diri termasuk kategori baik, serta kompetensi merancang aplikasi basis data secara konseptual dan logikal termasuk kategori tinggi. Model ini juga telah memenuhi prinsip-prinsip dasar penilaian, yakni prinsip validitas, prinsip reliabilitas, terfokus pada kompetensi, komprehensif, prinsip objektivitas, dan prinsip mendidik.Kata kunci: penilaian otentik, penilaian diri, keterampilan pemecahan masalah, keterampilan mengelola diri, pendidikan vokasi______________________________________________________________ AUTHENTIC SELF-ASSESSMENT MODEL FOR DEVELOPING EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS STUDENT IN HIGHER VOCATIONAL EDUCATIONAbstract The purpose of this research is to develop assessment tools to evaluate achievement of employability skills which are integrated in the learning database applications. The assessment model developed is a combination of self-assessment and authentic assessment, proposed as models of authentic self-assessment. The steps of developing authentic self-assessment models include: identifying the standards, selecting an authentic task, identifying the criteria for the task, and creating the rubric. The results of development assessment tools include: (1) problem solving skills assessment model, (2) self-management skills assessment model, and (3) competence database applications assessment model. This model can be used to assess the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor achievement. The results indicate: achievement of problem solving and self-management ability was in good category, and competencies in designing conceptual and logical database was in high category. This model also has met the basic principles of assessment, i.e.: validity, reliability, focused on competencies, comprehen-sive, objectivity, and the principle of educating.Keywords: authentic assessment, self-assessment, problem solving skills, self-management skills, vocational education
The fourth industrial revolution changes the order of business model from conventional to digital business. The general purpose of this study is to formulate a new framework for the employability skills needed by students for jobs in the digital business era. This research was conducted by analysing the contents of scholarly articles and policy documents relevant to the employability skills issue. Digital business world of work required a combination of digital and employability skills. A new framework of employability skills was proposed, included digital generic skills and personal attributes. Digital communication skills, digital teamwork skills, digital problem solving skills, creativity and innovation skills, self-management skills, and digital learning skills are part of digital generic skills. Personal attributes included honesty and integrity, work carefully and accurately, self-confidence and ability to work independently, have a pleasant personality, broad-minded and adaptability, and strong work ethics.
The ability of SMAN 1 Selemadeg and SMAN 1 Kerambitan, Tabanan Regency, Bali Province teachers, in writing Classrom Action Research (CAR) reports and articles is very low. This problem has an impact on the delay of the promotion of teachers for many years, because one of the requirements is not fulfilled in the element of scientific papers. Community service aims to improve the ability of teachers in writing CAR and articles. To achieve these objectives, the Simpang Tegar method is implemented. Data on teacher understanding of the basic concepts of CAR and articles were collected using the test method. While the data on the skills of teachers writing CAR and articles are collected using observation and check-list of tasks given during mentoring. The results obtained are as follows: (1) teacher's understanding of the basic concepts of CAR and scientific articles increased from an average of 57.34 during the pre-test to 73.93 during the post-test; (2) teacher's skills of writing CAR reports and articles increased from an average of 45.41 before mentoring, to 68.58 after mentoring
