One of the currently trends in the world of tourism is Glamping. Glamping or glamourous / luxurious camping are camping activities that do not neglect comfort and luxury. This study is aimed to identify implementation of the green tourism concept in glamping sites in Bali. The approach used is qualitative exploratory and descriptive research. The research location includes glamping sites in several areas in Bali such as Bangli-Kintamani, Ubud-Gianyar, Uluwatu, Canggu, Mengwi-Badung, Jatiluwih-Tabanan, and Gerokgak-Singaraja. Collectiion of data through observation, interviews and documentation on destination components such as attractions, accessibilities, amenities, and ancillaries. Samples are determined purposively. The results of the study show that the implementation of the green tourism concept includes environment responsibility, local economic vitality, cultural diversity, and experiential richness. There are two of eleven glamping sites in Bali apply green tourism that already certified by recognised bodies.
Abstract. The advancement of Tourism is supported by Information and CommunicationTechnology (ICT) innovation and changes. The use of GDS (Global Distribution System) i.e. Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, and Worldspan in the tourism industry can increase the availability, frequency and speed of communication among the companies in providing services to potential tourists. This research is to investigate the factors that influence the actual use of GDS in the tourism industry especially travel agents, airlines and hotels in Bali. This research employed a mixed method of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Field surveys were conducted and 80 valid questionnaires were received and analyzed by using SPSS 17.0; descriptive, correlation, factor analysis and regression tests were conducted. The variables used are Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness (Technology Acceptance Model); Awareness, Perceived Risk and Communication Channels are examined. This research revealed that Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Awareness, and Communication Channels influence the Behavioural intention to use GDS, whereas Perceived Risk were found not significant influence the use of GDS. These findings enable travel agent, airline and hotel companies to make provision decision with respect to the actual use of GDS.
Conflict is something scary and almost everyone agreed to declare that conflict as something that happens as a result of the conflict. Conflict written in the teachings of Hinduism in law Rta known as Rwabhineda. The conflict has managed well if it can be useful to uphold the values of truth, hidden by an apparent harmony. As it happened in the village of Catur Karya Balinggi District Regency Parigi Moutong Central Sulawesi conflict has occurred as a result of terrorism. With the terrorist conflict in the village, which resulted in what is the impact of terrorism for the Hindu community in the Village of Chess Sub District Parigi Moutong Balinggi ?. Having conducted research shows that the impact of terrorism for the Hindu community is Negative impacts include physical damage, mental damage, social and cultural damage, damage to the economic sector, the tourism sector damage. The positive impact as the society reflect itself against acts of terror committed terrorism include: increased Shraddha Bhakti, increase awareness of the importance of Hindu religious organizations, increasing awareness of people's participation in local political activities, raising awareness of the importance of private security, increase solidarity among the members of society and the improvement of information filtering. Dampak negatif meliputi kerusakan fisik, kerusakan mental, kerusakan sosial budaya, kerusakan sektor ekonomi, kerusakan sektor pariwisata. Dampak positif sebagaimana masyarakat merefleksikan dirinya terhadap tindakan teror yang dilakukan terorisme meliputi: peningkatan Sraddha Bhakti, peningkatan kesadaran pentingnya organisasi keagamaan Hindu, meningkatnya kesadaran partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan politik lokal, peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pengamanan swakarsa, peningkatan solidaritas antar anggota masyarakat dan peningkatan daya filterisasi informasi masyarakat.
Artikel ini mengkaji kolaborasi aktor pentahelix dalam pengembangan desa Timpag menuju desa wisata berbasis green tourism. Data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Informan ditentukan dengan teknik snowball sampling. Informan yang diwawancarai sebanyak 9 orang dengan melibatkan 50 responden. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi aktor pentahelik berperan penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan pengembangan desa ini menuju desa wisata berbasis green. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya sinergi harmonis antar aktor pentahelik dalam mendukung kegiatan pembangunan di desa, seperti: gotong-royong dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, membuat jalur trekking, pembentukan pondok edukasi, maupun dalam pembentukan wadah pelestarian budaya. Kolaborasi harmonis tersebut diharapkan tetap berkelanjutan sehingga desa wisata ini tetap eksis dan mampu memenangi persaingan yang semakin kompetitif. Untuk itu pihak akademisi diharapkan lebih berkontribusi dalam memberikan pendidikan dan pelatihan bagi masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia lokal sehingga mereka mampu berkontribusi tinggi dalam pengembangan green tourism di desanya.
This research is based on a gap that happened in arranging tour guides in Bali in which there are norms conflict between the regional regulation of Bali Province Number 5 Year 2008 on Tour Guide and the Regulation of Cultural and Tourism Minister Number: PM.92/HK.501/MKP/2010 on The Registration Procedure of Tour Guides Business which causes the Government of Bali Province doubtful in doing the authority of controling. In this research is discussed two problem namely the authority of Bali Province Government in arranging the tour guides business and controlling the tour guides. From the research which is conduct with statute approach and the law concept analysis approach that is analyzed by systematization, evaluation, argumentation and description method, it is known that the Bali Province Government has attribution authority which is strict for arranging the tour guides business and this matter implies on the authority to conduct control that includes law and administration, technical ability and tour guides behavior. Since regional regulation made by the autonomous government structure with autonomous autorithy then the regulation that arranges specified authority for that region remains valid.
This study explores the implementation of the concept of green tourism in the development of tourism at a tourist destination known as Undagi Farmers Village. It is one of the tourist destinations at Timpag Village which offers the nature and culture as tourist attractions. The data were collected through observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. The informants were selected from those who understand the implementation of green tourism in the development sustainable tourism. The data were descriptively and qualitatively analyzed. The result of the study shows that Undagi Farmers Village has implemented the concept of green tourism in the development of tourism, as reflected by the facts that (1) the destination offers the unspoiled nature; (2) the integrated empowerment of the local people in the development of tourism increases their economic vitality; (3) the green tourism presents the local people's cultural and traditional activities; and (4) the green tourism involves the tourists who come to visit it in the touristic activities in order to obtain new experience. It is expected that the development of the green tourism-based tourist destination can make the local people more aware of preserving the nature and culture for the future generation.
The emergence of so-called "zero-dollar" Chinese tourism is beginning to reshape the market in Bali and local tourist groups, that dodgy operators and business practices are cutting locals out of a share of the profits from shopping, while also risking the safety of Chinese visitors. This tourism model is in stark contrast to the essence of green tourism models such as the preparation of tour packages for Chinese tourists by doing family leisure and recreation activity in one of tourist attractions in Bali like Pinggan village and Toya Bungkah hot spring in Kintamani, Bangli Regency. By applying descriptive qualitative research with SWOT analysis this study aims at finding out the best solution for the dodgy business practice of Chinese market. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Respondents were tourists who came with their families taken by the Slovin technique totaling 100 people and using the purposive sampling method. The result of the analysis revealed that the Chinese tourists perceive positively the activity of family leisure and recreation. Based on the SWOT strategy, there are 4 programs as a recommendation for developing leisure activities for Chinese tourists, namely knowledge program of local community life, family adventure tours, health and recreation tours, hiking and trekking.
