The purpose of the paper is to justify the use of the intersectoral balance model for forecasting the demand for rail transportation in the face of significant changes in commodity markets. The theoretical basis of the study is the algebraic theory of the analysis of the input-output model. The methodology is based on the balance method. The modeling procedure comes down to solving a system of linear equations in which the coefficients are cost coefficients for production. The modeling information base includes scenario conditions for forecasting the socio-economic development of 40 industries and activities for which rail transportation is of decisive importance, and whose share in the structure of the GDP of Russia for the period until 2036 will change slightly. The main results of the study are: the implemented process of modeling demand for rail transportation, including a basic simulation of the intersectoral balance of the Russian economy for 2016, a predicted simulation model of demand for the period until 2030. An assessment was made of a long-term change in demand for rail transport services, taking into account structural changes affecting the activities of the main sectors of the national economy, which products are changing interspecific competition, the emergence of new product markets and digital technologies.
Task: to develop a concept for implementing distributed Ledger technologies (blockchain) in passenger railway transport and to justify the approach to evaluating the effectiveness of these technologies. Methods: content analysis of special industry research, analysis of specialized statistical reporting on the use of digital systems and technologies, survey, mathematical modeling, and others. Result. The author analyzes the trends of the multimodal passenger transport market, in particular the European segment. It is established that due to the significant development of multimodality in passenger transport, transport organizations will be able to meet modern customer requests mainly when switching to network technologies, mainly to digital systems of distributed transaction data registry. The concept of passenger blockchain in transport is proposed: its functionality, platform composition, digital modules, additional services for passengers. The effects resulting from the introduction of blockchain in passenger transportation are systematized, the sources of their occurrence, and their quantitative assessment for the passenger railway complex of Russia is given. Practical significance: the results of the study deepen methodological developments in the field of economic evaluation of investment projects for the introduction of digitalization technologies. They are in demand by managers of transport companies, development specialists, and analysts who evaluate digital technologies.
The purpose of the study: to substantiate the advantages of the Maas (Mobility as a Service) concept as a universal digital Smart aggregator, a platform integrating all participants in passenger transportation. Methods: content analysis, analysis of digital platform technologies, monitoring of digital processes and solutions at the level of a separate transport company. Results: the main advantages of digital transport multimodality as a concept of integrated digital platforms of the future transport are substantiated. The hypothesis is put forward that electronic digitalized communication technologies of market participants will become the main factor of economic growth. And the ideal MaaS-economic model will be a comprehensive integration of all existing digital platforms in the world and on national markets. The functionality and advantages for users of the development of MaaS solutions of the Russian railway carrier - the Russian Railways company — the Travel.RZD application and a pilot project within the framework of Innovative mobility implemented in the Samara region are presented.
