IN TRO DUC TIONThe weather sup port of cos mo dromes, in par tic u lar, of the "Vostochnyi" cos mo drome which is built at pres ent is aimed at achiev ing the needed level of safety and ef fi ciency of space rocket (SR) launch ing. The ma jor re quire ments to the weather sup port are the time li ness (op er a tional ef fi ciency) and full ness of services.Con crete re quire ments to the weather sup port de pend on the pe cu liar i ties of its ob jects, in this case, of the SR type and de gree of the im pact that me te o ro log i cal con di tions have on the pro cesses of its use and oper a tion. The in for ma tion about complex and se vere phe nom ena whose di ag no sis and fore cast ing are the ma jor prob lems of the weather sup port, is of spe cial im por tance.In view of this, high de mands are made on the sys tem of ac qui si tion (re cep tion), pro cess ing, and pre senta tion of me te o ro log i cal data for the sup port of mak ing de ci sions on the prep a ra tion of the SR for the launch (trans por ta tion, de ploy ment at the po si tion, etc.).First of all, such sys tem should be au to matic and pro vide the op er a tive re cep tion and pre sen ta tion of me te o ro log i cal data re ceived both di rectly from tech ni cal tools lo cated on the ter ri tory of the cos mo drome and from the global and na tional sys tems of me te o ro log i cal data dis tri bu tion.By now, the great ex pe ri ence of de vel op ing such au to matic sys tems has been ac cu mu lated in our country, for ex am ple, the au to matic sys tem of the weather sup port of Roshydromet Main Avi a tion Me te o ro log ical Cen ter. In the Armed Forces of the Rus sian Fed er a tion, such sys tems in clude the com plex sys tem of shipborne air craft land ing, the soft ware-and-hardware com plex of a mil i tary hydrometeorologist, etc. Ba sic prin ci ples of weather mon i tor ing are also used at the "Baikonur" cos mo drome.How ever, these projects lack the com plex sys tem of op er a tive ac qui si tion, pro cess ing, and pre sen ta tion of me te o ro log i cal data. To launch SRs, the fol low ing are needed: the re cep tion of dif fer ent me te o ro log i cal in for ma tion in clud ing prog nos tic data with dif fer ent lead times, its the matic pro cess ing, and trans mis sion to the cos mo drome au thor i ties for making de ci sions on the SR launch.
