A straight coupled transmission-line (SCTL) cell to generate standard EM fields with high field uniformity, broadband frequency range, and high field generation compared with conventional double-port waveguides, is presented in this paper. An SCTL cell is designed by using the Newton-Raphson method mixed with the moment method (MM). Measured electric fields and higher order mode-resonant frequencies inside the designed SCTL cell agree well with the calculated results by the MM, and by the Galerkin method, respectively.Index Terms-Cut-off frequency, EMC, field uniformity, standard EM field, TEM cell.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
