As rodovias causam inúmeros impactos sobre o ambiente natural. Nesse sentido verificação dos fatores de risco acerca das colisões de veículos com animais é primordial para a criação de estratégias de prevenção. Apenas dois trabalhos foram publicados sobre mamíferos silvestres atropelados na Paraíba. Diante disso, se fez necessário o levantamento de dados acerca dos atropelamentos destes animas nas estradas paraibanas. O trabalho foi conduzido num trecho de 134 Km de rodovias que cortam o interior da Paraíba entre setembro de 2017 e agosto de 2018, em viagens semanais, percorrendo o trecho de carro. Para avaliar a eficiência da amostragem, foi realizada a curva de acumulação de espécies. Para padronizar e quantificar os atropelamentos foram usados índices de atropelamentos. Registramos 44 espécimes atropelados no trecho, onde Cerdocyon thous (N=35/79,5%) foi a espécie mais registrada. O maior número de atropelamentos ocorreu na seca, mostrando a influência da sazonalidade. A escassez de recursos nessa época pode aumentar a mobilidade dos animais, oque pode elevar a probabilidade dos atropelamentos. Porém esses valores podem estar subestimados, devido alguns animais se alimentarem de carcaças e pode removê-las da estrada, ou podem serem atropelados e vir a morrer em outros locais.
