Abstract-Facing the big number of urban population, the city should implement smart city concept that can help urban citizen to improve their quality of life. A component of a smart city is smart building. Implementing smart building concept especially in Indonesia is important due to the urbanization rate is over the average of urbanisation in South Eastern Asia and Asia. This paper is a working paper discuss the dimensions and indicators of a smart building coming from existing literatures, ideas from 23 respondents who are business players, experts, and customers' of smart building in Indonesia. This study finds that there are seventh dimensions and 22 indicators to measure if a building has implemented a smart building concept.Index Terms-Smart city, smart building, urban, quality of life, and Indonesia.
Bandung became the center of urbanization in Indonesia, from 43 million people in West Java urbanization centered in the capital of West Java, namely the city of Bandung. The high level of urbanization becomes the main problem in Bandung; Problems arises, how to improve the service of Bandung City Government in managing and solving the issues arising from the impact of urbanization. Smart City is a solution to improve the function of Bandung City Government, especially in the field of Smart Governance to the Government of Bandung City Good Governance. To measure whether the city of Bandung has implemented Smart Governance required identification of dimensions and indicators that determine whether Bandung has implemented Smart Governance. Smart Governance dimensions and indicators are obtained from literature studies and then confirmed to respondents who have the expertise and having experience in the field of Smart City. The interview and focus group discussions conducted to the respondents, and the researcher will grasp the main variables and indicators which is coming up to determine whether Bandung City is implementing Smart Governance in proper ways. The new proposed model will come up from the interview and focus group discussion result. Also, there will be statements in measuring the readiness of Smart Governance implementation in Bandung or other cities.
The high number of tourist transport accidents in Indonesia makes transportation security as a factor that affects tourist risk perception. Electronic word of mouth (eWOM) about tourism places also affects the tourist risk perception. Research on the effect of travel risk perception on intention to travel has been done, but research on risk perception variables associated with accident risk perception has not been found. This research fills the research gap on the development of travel intention model which involves travel motivation, eWOM and risk perception variables associated with accident risk perception on island tourism using water transportation (ship) as the main transportation. This research used qualitative method by collecting data through depth interview, focus group disscusion and using literature study data as research data. The findings of this research are 10 indicators for accident risk perception variable, 10 indicators for travel motivation-push motivation variable, 7 indicators for travel motivationpull motivation variable and 5 indicators for eWOM variable. The model developed in this study is adapted to the characteristics of the island tourism in Indonesia that is considering the island tourist experience and the risk of tourism island perceived by domestic tourist of Indonesia.
Many countries have initialized and adopted the business excellence framework to encourage high-quality achievements and be recognised internationally, including in Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). ASEAN as an economic and political organization of 11 countries located in Southeast Asia, established a business excellence framework to promote international organizational excellence and serve as national quality awards, which most of them adopted the Baldrige Excellence Framework (BEF). This study utilizes the accumulation and analysis of qualitative information using several sources and evidence from the business excellence frameworks and awards in ASEAN countries. This paper presents analytical comparisons of various aspects of the framework, such as their goals, award and recognition, categories, and score points (scores). It also discusses the similarities and differences among them.
