de 35Resumen: La lógica deóntica nació en 1951 con la publicación, en la revista Mind, del célebre artículo de Georg Henrik Von Wright: Deontic Logic. Ese momento constituye un hito en la historia de esta lógica particular, ya que, a partir de ahí comenzó su estudio sis temático. Ahora bien, el Sistema Clásico de Lógica Deóntica, que nació con dicho artículo, es uno de los más extendidos, especialmente, entre juristas y filósofos del dere cho. Esto se debe, entre otras cosas, a su estructura simple y al hecho de que responde más adecuadamente a nuestras intuiciones acerca de cómo funcionan los conceptos deónticos (permitido, prohibido y obligatorio), sin embargo, este sistema no está exento de impor tantes problemas y dificultades. En este sentido, el presente trabajo pretende:1. Efectuar una exposición detallada de la estructura y elementos esenciales del Siste ma Clásico de Lógica Deóntica.2. Mostrar los problemas y paradojas principales a las que dicho sistema se enfrenta. 3. El presente artículo intenta responder algunos de los más importantes interrogantes sobre la lógica deóntica, puesto que ha habido profundos malentendidos con respecto a su naturaleza y a la forma en que se diferencia de otros tipos de lógica. Algunos de los problemas que se han abordado en este trabajo son: ¿qué entendemos cuando hablamos de lógica deóntica? ¿Cuál es su objeto de estudio? ¿Es lo mismo que la lógica jurídica? ¿Es más deseable definir tal disciplina simplemente como lógica del deber ser? ¿Existe alguna diferencia entre normas y proposiciones normativas? Las respuestas a estos interrogantes permitirán arribar una noción más nítida de lógica deóntica y esclarecerán su peculiar jurisdicción conceptual.
La concepción estándar de la ciencia considera que el conocimiento científico implica un saber racional, objetivo y fiable. Desde esta perspectiva, se entiende, por un lado, que la ciencia debe prescindir de los juicios de valor y, por otro, que el conocimiento científico y sus aplicaciones son éticamente neutras. Así, los científicos y tecnólogos no son responsables moralmente por el uso que se haga de los conocimientos y aplicaciones que ellos han ayudado a producir. Habitualmente, esta posición se conoce, como la tesis de la neutralidad valorativa de la ciencia. El presente artículo pretende realizar un análisis crítico a dicha tesis a fin de determinar en qué medida puede hablarse de neutralidad axiológica en el ámbito científico y, consecuentemente, establecer hasta qué punto los científicos y tecnólogos son responsables moralmente por sus descubrimientos. Para ello, se toman como referencia los planteos de Maliandi, Jonas, Postman y Olivé. Esta revisión adopta una metodología cualitativa, basada en la teorización y reflexión crítica a partir del análisis bibliográfico o documental.
