Este artículo tiene como objetivo realizar una descripción histórica de los acuerdos de paz, enfatizando particularmente en el Acuerdo Final para la Terminación del Conflicto y la Cons trucción de una Paz Estable y Duradera (AFTC) firmado en 2016 entre el Gobierno nacional y las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc). Algunos párrafos hacen parte de una investigación de nivel de maestría en Artes y Ciencias Militares realizada por el autor en el año 2020 en el Colegio de Comando y Estado Mayor de los Estados Unidos, WHINSEC, Fuerte Benning (Georgia). Se pretende establecer las nuevas amenazas como consecuencia de este acuerdo, que atentan contra la estabilidad democrática y la Seguridad Nacional. Para ello, se adelantó una aproximación al concepto de violencia desde la categoría política que conlleva el fenómeno valorativo del uso de la fuerza con la intención de causar daño, desde el entendido de Ives Michaud, quien refleja postulados especialmente de John Focke; también desde la relación social de violencia y el carácter subjetivo de la misma que aborda Michel Foucault en la Teoría del Poder. Fuego, se dio una mirada cronológica a los acuerdos de paz desde los años 80 hasta el último proceso de 2016, la mayoría fallidos y pocos materializados. Enseguida, se analizó la etapa actual del posacuerdo, término utilizado teniendo en cuenta estudios de Johan Galtung. Se concluye que, la creciente presencia e injerencia de disidentes de las Farc, es un hecho que preocupa y desalienta no solo la actual etapa, sino que, además, se convierte en un gran desafío para el Estado colombiano y, por ende, para la estabilidad democrática, la seguridad, la gobernabilidad y la consolidación de la paz.
El presente artículo tiene el objetivo de realizar una cronología de los procesos de paz que se llevaron a cabo en Colombia hacia finales de la década de los 80 e inicios de los 90 del siglo XX. En tal sentido, se abordan los orígenes, protagonistas y contextos históricos de las negociaciones entre el Gobierno nacional y el Movimiento Alianza Democrática (M-19), Partido Revolucionario de Trabajadores (PRT), Ejército Popular de Liberación (EPL), Movimiento Indígena Armado Quinten Lame (MAQL), y la Autodefensa Obrera (ADO). Se ponen de manifiesto los esfuerzos y cambios a favor de los diálogos y apertura hacia la paz que impulsaron tanto el presidente Barco a través de su lema: “Mano tendida y pulso firme" y el presidente Gaviria con su lema: “Negociación y estrategia", que condujeron a la desmovilización, dejación de armas, disolución, participación en la vida política y en la Asamblea Nacional Constituyente de 1991 de estos grupos subversivos. En síntesis, entre el Gobierno nacional y las guerrillas citadas, se logró la firma de acuerdos finales de paz, y con ello, apaciguar en algo, la violencia y mejorar la favorabilidad política, en una época de gran crisis para el país.
