Die Addukte von Dehydrobenzol .an Cyclopentadien und Furan (I1 und IV) sind thermisch stabil und lassen sich nicht reversibel in ihre Ausgangskomponenten aufspalten. Ayf Grund der Reaktivitgt ihrer C=C-Bindung im Fiinfring sind sie aber befahigt, ihrerseits mit Dienen im Sinne einer DIELS-ALDER-Anlagerung Umsetzungen einzugehen. Da die aus IV rnit Anthracen, Pentacen, Acridin und Phenazin erhaltenen Addukte rnit Acetanhydrid und SalzsiIure zu Benzotriptycen VI, Tribenzotriptycen X bzw. den Iso-aza-tnptycen-Derivaten XI1 und XIV zu dehydratisieren sind, eraffnet sich damit ein neuer Wee, Naphthalin Uber seine 2.3-Kohlenstoffatome rnit Dien-Systemen zu verkniipfen. Ab-schlieOend wird iiber eine schon bei Raumtemperaturvor sich gehende Anlagerung von IV an 2.5-Diphenyl-3.4-benmfwan berichtet..Wie in der vorstehenden Mitteilungl) erortert wurde, liiBt sich Dehydrobenzol in einer Diels-Alder-Reaktion wold an Anthracen zum Triprycen anlagern, nicht aber rnit Acridin zum Azu-rriptycen (I) vereinigen, da Dehydrobenzol in seiner dipolaren Grenzform den elektrophilen Angriff auf das heterocyclische System bevorzugt.Auf der Suche nach neuen Wegenabseits von der Basis der Lithium-und Magnesium-halogenbemole, die als Quelle zur Bildung von Dehydrobenzol dientenging man der Uberlegung nach, das aus Dehydrobenzol und Cyclopentadien leicht zugangliche Merfiyleno-difiydronupfirfiufin ZZZ) thermisch in seine Komponenten zuriickzuspalten und in Gegenwart von Anthracen in Triprycen uberzufiihren. Dabei sollte die Fiihigkeit des Cyclopentadiens, mit Eisen(II)-chlorid das sehr stabile Ferroceti zu bilden, zum Abfangen des Kohlenwasserstoffes ausgeniitzt werden. I Im Modellversuch mit Cyclopentudien, Eisen(I1)-chlorid und Triiithylamin bei 220' gewann man Ferrocen in einer Ausbeute von 18 % d. Th.3). Als man aber I1 denselben Bedingungen unterwarf, wurde es praktisch unveriindert zuriickgewonnen, ohne daB Ferrocen nachzuweisen war. Das auch nach zahlreichen Untersuchungen noch ungeloste Problem, ob Dehydrobenzol frei -sei es in dipolarem oder biradikalischem Zustand -auftritt oder nur im Ubergangsstadium der zum Reaktionsakt genaherten Partner fungiert, ladt zu weiteren Untersuchungen ein. o-Fluor-brom-pseudocumol (IV) vermag bei seiner ortho-Metallierung (Li statt Br) trotz der blockierenden Methyle das Biphenylenderivat VI zu bilden, woraus sich einige, die Reaktionsmoglichkeiten eingrenzende Konsequenzen ergeben. Dehydro-pseudocumol (VIII) bildet wie Dehydrobenzol in Furan das erwartete Endoxyd IX. -Weiterhin wurdeversucht, Verbindungen vom Typus des Bis-dehydro-benzols (Cyclohexendiin) aus Tetrahalogen-benzolen herzustellen. 2.6-Di&ior-3.5-dibrom-pxylol (XII) lieferte bei seiner ortho-Metallierung das Bis-endoxyd XIV, das offenbar iiber die Stufe des ebenfalls isolierten Mono-endoxydes XI11 entstanden war. AufschluBreich war das Verhalten des I.4-Dij7uor-2.5-dibrom-benzols (XVIII), das bei Einwirkung von Butyl-lithium iiber eine Brom-Lithium-Austauschreaktion und uber eine nebenher verlaufende Wasserstoff-Lithium-Substitution das Mono-endoxyd XVI und das Bis-endoxyd XVII bildete. Die erzielten Resultate schliel3en mit Sicherheit aus, daB ein in Losung frei existierendes Bis-dehydro-benzol an den Vorgangen teilhat.
