Synthesis and Electrochemical Properties of Li 4 Ti 5 O 12 . -The title compound is prepared by ball-milling (MeOH medium, 300 rpm/min) of a stoichiometric mixture of Li2CO3 and anatase-type TiO2 followed by calcination (750°C, 24 h). The product shows good electrochemical properties with a discharge capacity reaching 160 mAh/g, and a capacity retention of 97% at the 50th cycle at 1C current rate.
