The Zn(II) complexes: [Zn(Hbimtz) 2 Cl 2 ]•H 2 O, [Zn 2 (Hbimtz) 4 Cl 4 ]•H 2 O, and {[Zn 2 (H 2 O) 4 (SO 4 ) 2 (Hbimtz) 2 ]•(H 2 O) 2.5 } n , where Hbimtz = 1-[(1H-benzimidazole -2-yl)methyl]-1,2,3,4-tetrazole, have been synthesised and their structures determined. The mononuclear complexes have four-coordinated Zn(II) centres with two benzimidazole N atoms from Hbimtz and two terminal Cl atoms, while the Zn(II) centre of the dinuclear complex is ligated by N atoms of Hbimtz and O atoms of sulfate and water molecules in distorted octahedral geometry. The thermal stability and luminescent properties of the three complexes are also discussed.
3 ](ClO 4 )} n (where Htocpa = 1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-6-oxo-3-pyridazinecarboxylic acid), have been synthesised and their structures determined. The Cu(II) centres are four-coordinated with two pyridazinyl N atoms and two carboxyl O atoms from two ligands, while the geometry of the Mn(II) atoms is distorted octahedral with O, N atoms of two ligands and O atoms of three water molecules. The two Mn complexes are assembled in a 1-D chain structure by bridging carboxyl-O atoms.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
