This study aimed to find out the model for developing competitive advantage in institutions of private Islamic education of the Ar-Raihan Bantul and Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) Luqman Al-Hakim Yogyakarta. The findings showed that the development model competitive edvantage in private Islamic educational institutions as follows: First, the main ideas of competitive superiority was to build integrated religious-based of basic education for preparing a generation of superior golden qurani. Second, the foundation of education refers back on Alquran and Sunah that demands for change and challenges of Muslims in the global era, optimization of basic potential students. The orientation of competitive dominance was for long-term, the life in world and the hereafter. Third, the approach used was humanist and development of potential human resources based on religion. Fourth, the characteristics of excellence was the integration of a culture of academic and religious quality, as well as the uniqueness of schools through tahfiz Al-Qur'an. Fifth, the strategy of developing competitive advantage was the focus on differentiation based religious.
Thailand has two different parts of the region ranging from ethnics, culture, national and religion. However, due to religious differences, the trade route, which was a more profitable trading route in Southern Thailand, inhabited by Malay Patani, made the Siamese Kingdom want the area. The desires of the Siamese Kingdom were successful. So Patani Malay became part of the Thai Kingdom and its government system followed the policies adopted by the Thais, including in terms of Islamic education in Patani. Since then, conflicts began to occur as the policies adopted by the Thais were considered unsuitable for the Patani Malay in many various ways including forming an Islamic organization. As a result, the Patani could become independent without being under Thai auspices. However, these efforts and strategies have also not been successful, but only to negotiate so that conflicts can continue to be overcome both through cooperation with other Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe countries.
Technological progress will have an impact on social changes in society. Along with these advances, the challenges of leadership has also changed in the face of these technological changes. This study tried to examine various literatures related to leadership, politics and technological challenges in an effort to find the problems of the study to be discussed. Then the findings were as follows; First, leadership from a sociological perspective is leadership that faces challenges in accordance with technological developments. To deal with it, then as a leader it is necessary to implement the AGIL system by holding principles in Islam. Second, leadership from a political perspective is a leader who has challenges with individuals, institutions, organizations, parties and other institutions so that in facing these challenges, all leaders need to prepare themselves to face the challenges of these requirements and compete in a healthy manner without expecting outside help or political money.
Guru adalah aktor dalam dunia pendidikan dan manuskrip cerita adalah kurikulumnya. Tanpa guru maka dunia pendidikan akan mengalami masalah yang begitu besar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan. Hasil temuan penelitian ini adalah: perkembangan teknologi membuat kewajiban seorang guru semakin besar, karena jika peran guru hanya sebatas mengajar, maka anak didik hanya ahli dalam intelektual tetapi tidak mempunyai adab dan sopan santun. Begitu juga sebaliknya, jika peran guru tidak hanya mengajar tetapi memberikan nilai keteladanan baik di sekolah maupun luar lingkungan sekolah, maka bukan hanya menghasilkan intelektual tetapi juga menghasilkan adab dan sopan santun. Oleh karena itu, peran kurikulum dalam lembaga pendidikan sangat penting terlebih pada pendidikan Islam, sehingga tidak hanya sebagai rangkaian dari proses belajar mengajar, akan tetapi nilai-nilai dari kurikulum tersebut merupakan filosofi dari tujuan pendidikan membentuk nilai-nilai karakter siswa.
Problematika pendidikan Islam di Melayu Patani yang berawal dari masa-masa keemasan, lama kelamaan mengalami masa penurunan, ketika kerajaan Melayu Patani diambil alih oleh kerajaan Thai. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, maka hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, Melayu Patani yang tinggal di bagian Thailand Selatan pernah mengalami masa kejayaan sehingga banyak melahirkan tokoh-tokoh ulama. Kedua, Pada saat Patani diambil alih oleh kerajaan Siam, maka lembaga pendidikan Islam telah mengalami perubahan yang terdiri dari tiga tipe, yakni sekolah Islam, madrasah dan pondok pesantren. Ketiga, perubahan lembaga pendidikan Islam semakin mengalami perubahan ketika terjadinya pergantian pemimpin Thailand, yakni terjadinya asimilasi budaya pendidikan. Keempat, Kebijakan pemerintah terhadap Melayu Patani yang terus memicu konflik, membuat mereka menetapkan kebijakan sesuai keinginan masyarakat Patani tetapi kebijakan tersebut mengalami dilema bagi Melayu Patani.
