Science learning should gives a good scientific process experience and promotes high level thinking skills on students. However, the real conditions show that the both scientific process and integration of high order thinking can’t be been applied well. The solution to this problem is the discovery learning model by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking. The objective of the research was to investigate the effects of the application of the discovery learning model by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking to improve learning outcomes of students. The type of research is classroom action research with a cycle model. The discovery learning model was applied on grade XI MIA 1 students in SMAN 10 Padang. The instrument for collecting data consisted of written test for knowledge aspect and problem solving skill, observation sheet for attitudes aspect, and performanceassessment sheet for science process skills aspect. The data analysis technique that used were descriptive statistical analysis and correlated comparison test. From the results of data analysis it can be stated that the application of the discovery learning model by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking can improve the learning outcomes of students including knowledge, attitudes, science process skills aspect and problem solving skills. Thus, the application of the discovery learningmodel by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking has given a positive effect in improvinglearning outcomes of students.
Mole concept is the essential part of chemistry learning and has been the prerequisite to learn other chemistry concepts. Learning source used has not yet connected the three levels of representations completely. The inability to connect the three levels of representations might affect students’ learning outcome and mental model. This study aims to find out the effect of structured inquiry based module on students’ mental model of mole concept. The design of study is Randomized Control Group Postest Only Design. There were 141 students from two Senior High Schools in Padang recruited as the samples of study. The instruments are two-tier mental diagnostic test and semi structured interview. The result of t-test on hypotheses reveals that the mental model of mole concept in experimental group was higher than that of control group of both schools. Hence, it can be said that there is effect of module on students’ mental model of mole concepts in both schools
Purpose of this study: This study was conducted to analyze the factors that affect the disclosure of Islamic Social Reporting (ISR) in Islamic Banking on the stock exchange and analyze the data carried out on the annual report of six Islamic banks in 2013-2017. The results of this study are expected to facilitate the Islamic banks to apply the principle of full disclosure with Islam in a more comprehensive way. Methodology: The sampling technique used is sampling considerations obtained with a total sample of six Islamic banks in Indonesia. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Main Findings: The level of disclosure of social responsibility reporting in Islamic perspective, using ISR index explains that Islamic Banks having a high index of ISR obtained by Bank Muamalat Indonesia that managed to reach the value of 20 and above, more precisely 32 components of the total index of ISR 48 component in the year 2017. Based on the hypothesis testing, it is found that the F-test of profitability factor and leverage, simultaneously or together influence the factors in the disclosure of ISR in Islamic Banking in Indonesia. Based on the hypothesis testing for the t-test, it is found that profitability and leverage do not affect the disclosure of ISR in Islamic Bank in Indonesia. Implication: This research will serve as a reference material for improving the ISR performance of Islamic banking in Indonesia so that there is an even distribution of income.
ABSTRAKHidayati, Misrianti R, Ali A. 2016. Pohon filogenetik sapi Kuantan menggunakan DNA barcode. JITV 21(1): 41-48. ABSTRACTHidayati, Misrianti R, Ali A. 2016.
