This study aims to investigate the application of service quality theory to explain and predict the satisfaction, trust, and motivation of participants at leadership education and training programs of echelon 3 and 4 held by Human Resource Development Board Province in Indonesia. This study uses purposive sampling and survey methods to generate sampling, which consists of 480 respondents from some of the main provinces in Indonesia. The data are analyzed using Variance Based Structural Equation Modeling -Partial Least Square due to the existence of formative indicators for service quality. The result shows that five dimensions of service quality have a positive and significant effect on participants' satisfaction, which, in turn, impacts their trust and motivation. Responsiveness is one of service quality dimensions with the greatest influence on participants' satisfaction. Data collected in this study are limited to the context of leadership education and training programs of echelon 3 and 4. Thus, further research may involve other education and training programs. The results of this study may serve as a guideline for other education and training providers in other provinces or places of Indonesia to increase their service quality, which will impact satisfaction, trust, and motivation of participants.
The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of organizational justice to positive emotion of civil servants in south and central Sulawesi Province which impact their job satisfaction. Organizational justice consists of distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice. We propose that the perception of organizational justice by civil servants on these two provinces will influence the formation of positive emotion which will impact their job satisfaction. This study provides a guidance to civil servants at leadership level to design a form of justice which influence positive emotions that have an impact on the work satisfaction of their subordinates. The subject on this research are civil servants employees in South and Central Sulawesi Province area. Purposive sampling method is employ with 400 respondents as sample requirement and 350 questionnaires were returned which made the response rate of 87.5 percent. Data is analyze using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with two phase approaches, namely: calculation model and structural model. The results demonstrate that organizational justice has the ability to explain and predict positive emotion. Furhermore, positive emotion has the ability to explain and predict job satisfaction for civil servants employees in South and Central Sulawesi Province. Interactional and procedural justice are significantly influencing positive emotion with interactional justice has the largest influence in positive emotion. While distributional justice has no significant influence on positive emotion.
<p>This study investigates the factors affecting borrowing intention among young entrepreneur of Indonesia TDA community based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). About 100 questionnaires were accepted and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) in determining the relationships. The results show that borrowing intention amongst young entrepreneur of Indonesia TDA community is influenced by attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, self identity, situational temptation, and past behavior. The young entrepreneur of Indonesia TDA community believe that they have complete control of their behavior in borrowing as they perceived to be equipped with the knowledge about the personal financing. In addition, because of their experience in students’ loans since undergraduates’ level, the result explains why situational temptation were found to be a significant predictor. The findings offer implications for researchers and government.</p>
This study aims to investigate interrelationships among perceived service fairness, emotions, and behavioral intentions in a fast food chain restaurant context. we use terms that are commonly use on the study of fairness or justice perception. This study uses purposive sampling and the survey method to generate our sample which consists of 800 respondents from big cities in Indonesia, namely: Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, and Makassar. The data are analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show different roles for each fairness perception in relation to peoples’ emotions and behavioral intentions, based on the Mehrabian-Russel model. Three fairness variables (price fairness, outcome fairness and interactional fairness) have positive and significant effects on customers’ positive emotions, while, procedural fairness does not influence the formation of a positive emotion. Furthermore, a positive emotion has a positive influence on a customer’s behavioral intention. Data collected in this study are limited to the context of the restaurant industry, therefore, precaution must be taken when generalizing these results to other industries. The results of this study can serve as guidelines for managers in the restaurant industry to develop effective and efficient strategies for ensuring their services’ perceived fairness and its impact on both customers’ retention rates and the companies’ financial gains.
The research to examine the effects of ownership structures on financing policies and firm valuation. The populations are all listed companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange for period of 2013 and 2015. The sample selection technique used purposive sampling and resulting in a final sample of 72 listed firms. Empirical tests are conducted using multiple regressions and two stages least squares regression to test the simultaneous relationship between ownership structure, financing policies and firm value. The estimated results provide support for the hypotheses proposed that the separation of cash flow rights and control rights have led the use of excess leverage among pyramidal companies to preserve ultimate owner’s control. However, we failed to find a significant relationship between firm’s leverage and firm’s value. The conclusion is the simultaneounity relation between ownership structure, leverage and firm value appear that only the ownership structure significantly related with leverage and firm value. Also firm value and leverage ownership impact the ownership structure. Meanwhile, leverage does not appear to have a significant relation with the firm value, or the other way around.
