The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and social capital on innovation and performance capabilities in achieving the competitive advantage of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). SMEs contribute significantly to the Indonesian economy, especially in the era of a monetary crisis. Some researches on performance and innovation capabilities in SMEs have focused on finance, operation, and marketing aspects but have not explored the intangible assets such as entrepreneurial and social capital. Intangible assets become a key success factor in improving the performance of SMEs, especially in the era of ASEAN Economic Community 2016. The method used in this research is descriptive and explanatory. The sample of this study is owners of SMEs handicraft in Semarang, Jepara, Kudus, with as many as 254 respondents. Sampling is conducted on SMEs that have been operating for at least five years, having employees over 10 people and still exist up to now. Data were collected by using survey method through closed and open questionnaires and interview. Data analysis was done by using the structural equation model with AMOS program. The results show that there is a significant influence between entrepreneurial orientation and social capital on innovation and performance capabilities. Innovation capability has a significant influence on performance improvement and competitive advantage of SMEs.
This study holistically tested the competitive advantage between the resource-based view approach and the green concept in products and processes (green innovation), especially in SMEs. The sample used was 100 SMEs actors in Indonesia, with a proportional sampling method. This study proved that the competitive advantage of SMEs in Indonesia can be reached by increasing intellectual capital, environmental ethics and green innovation holistically. The ability of companies to manage environmentally oriented human resources in their operating systems will improve the performance of SMEs and can further create competitive advantage.
This research aims to examine the impact of knowledge sharing and knowledge absorption on the innovation capability and the performance of Sharia banks. The rapid competition in banking industry among conventional and Sharia banks requires innovation capability in order to enhance the performance and achieve the sustainable competitive advantage. The development and performance of Sharia banks at the present still tend to be low. Innovation on product and service is one of the success keys of Sharia banks in enhancing the performance and competitiveness. Innovation capability can be developed if the employees within the organization are able to perform knowledge sharing or knowledge absorption. The sample of this research includes the employees of Sharia Banks in Semarang as many as 102 respondents. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with criteria; permanent employees who have been working no less than 5 years. The data collection method is performed using questionnaire, while the data analysis technique uses SEM. The finding concludes that knowledge sharing and knowledge absorption significantly impact the innovation capability and performance.
Tenaga kesehatan merupakan suatu pekerjaan dimana seseorang harus mengabdikan diri dalam bidang kesehatan, termasuk profesi dokter gigi. Standar Kompetensi Dokter Gigi menjelaskan bahwa seorang dokter gigi dalam menjalankan tugasnya dituntut untuk bersikap profesional. Dokter gigi diakui sebagai profesi yang penuh tekanan serta merekapun menganggap profesi mereka lebih stres daripada tenaga kesehatan lainnya. Stres dikaitkan dengan penurunan kinerja, dalam profesi terkait kesehatan tentunya akan mempengaruhi pelayanan kesehatan terhadap pasien. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengulas faktor-faktor apa yang menjadi pemicu stres kerja pada dokter gigi, sehingga pelayanan terhadap pasien memiliki kualitas dan mutu yang baik. Berdasarkan studi literature didapatkan hasil bahwa factor yang paling sering membuat dokter gigi stress yaitu lingkungan kerja dan konflik dengan rekan kerja, serta faktor faktor lain yang juga berpengaruh yaitu tuntutan kerja, keadaan organisasi, finansial, dan dukungan sosial. Sangat penting bagi dokter gigi untuk bisa mengidentifikasi level stress untuk bisa memberikan pelayanan yang baik dan memberikan performa maksimum dalam berkerja.
The innovation capability of companies and SMEs greatly determines performance and competitive advantage in a rapidly changing global environment. This condition requires companies and SMEs to increase their knowledge to create faster innovation capability. Good knowledge management capability in companies and SMEs will encourage the creation of new ideas about product and process innovation. This study aims to examine the effect of knowledge management capability, networking capability, and various knowledge of the innovation capability and competitive advantage of SMEs. The sample of this study was 254 SME entrepreneurs in the field of creative fashion and handicraft industries (response rate of 84.67%). Data collection was done by using a questionnaire instrument distributed to every SME entrepreneur. Data analysis techniques used was the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the AMOS program. The results of the study showed that knowledge management capability, networking capability, and knowledge sharing have a significant effect on improving innovation capability and competitive advantage.
Traditional markets give life to about 50 million people, through the market in number 13,650, but the other face of various problems, such as the environment is dirty and shabby, cramped premises space. This situation raises challenges for market managers to be able to create a market that has an appeal for buyers and compete with the modern market. As for the respondents in this study include 222 Buyers. The survey was conducted by using questionnaires and interviews. Results of analysis using a matrix QFD House of Quality, consumers will need attributes of traditional markets as many as 28 attributes, while the technical design to respond to those needs as many as 21 attributes. The results recommend that 21 technical design can be used to design the revitalization of traditional market-based consumer needs and at the same time be able to answer the demand of consumers in traditional markets.
Tingkat turnover perawat di rumah sakit selalu menduduki peringkat pertama dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, studi terdahulu menganggap kepuasan kerja dan locus of control internal dapat menurunkan angka turnover intention. Kepuasan kerja merupakan kondisi psikologis pekerja terhadap suatu pekerjaan baik berupa perasaan senang maupun tidak senang, sedangkan locus of control internal yaitu kepercayaan seseorang kepada dirinya sendiri sebagai pengendali nasibnya, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menguji hubungan kepuasan kerja dan locus of control internal terhadap turnover intention pada perawat di Rumah Sakit Charlie Hospital, Kendal. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantiatif, serta pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner dengan teknik purposive sampling. Subjek pada penelitian merupakan perawat Rumah Sakit Charlie Hospital yang berjumlah 35 perawat. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil dari analisis deskriptif diperoleh data bahwa tingkat kepuasan kerja perawat tergolong puas, dan cenderung memiliki locus of control internal serta tingkat turnover intention perawat tergolong tinggi dan dari hasil analisis regresi didapatkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.822 untuk kepuasan kerja, serta 0.765 untuk locus of control internal yang berarti bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dan locus of control internal terhadap turnover intention pada perawat di Rumah Sakit Charlie Hospital.
