Latar Belakang: Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) adalah salah satu infeksi yang sering ditemukan pada pasien pengguna ventilator di Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat (RSUP) Dr. Kariadi menetapkan beberapa indikator mutu, salah satunya adalah angka kejadian VAP. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pelaksanaan pencegahan dan pengendalian VAP di ruang ICU, RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di ruang ICU, RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang pada bulan Juni 2018 dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan telaah dokumen. Dalam penelitian ini, dipilih 12 informan berdasarkan prinsip kesesuaian dan kecukupan dengan kriteria mengetahui dan terlibat dalam pencegahan dan pengendalian VAP di ruang ICU RSUP Dr. Kariadi, Semarang pada tahun 2018. Analisis dilakukan dengan content analysis. Hasil: Pelaksanaan pencegahan dan pengendalian VAP di ruang ICU, RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang mengacu pada Permenkes 27/2017 dengan beberapa inovasi dan penyesuaian. Komunikasi terkait pelaksanaan VAP bundle di ruang ICU berjalan dengan baik, perawat diberi kesempatan untuk memperbarui dan penyegaran ilmu, fasilitas sangat mendukung, serta koordinasi antar profesi berjalan lancar. Adanya SOP, daftar centang kepatuhan pelaksanaan VAP bundle , serta lomba yang sering diadakan dalam rangka pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi mendorong pelaksana untuk terus memperbaiki diri. Walaupun demikian, masih diperlukan pengingat untuk melaksanakan VAP bundle sesuai dengan SOP, yaitu oral hygiene setiap 8 jam sekali. Kesimpulan: Pelaksanaan pencegahan dan pengendalian VAP di Ruang ICU, RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang tahun 2018 perlu dipertahankan bahkan ditingkatkan. Review mingguan dan penghargaan bagi pelaksana diperlukan sebagai pendorong untuk terus melaksanakan VAP bundle sesuai dengan SOP.
Patients /Family patients satisfaction is an indicator to assess the quality of a hospital. During the Covid-19 pandemic, several problems emerged related to the quality of information provision and services provided. The purpose of this study was to describe the family satisfaction of Covid-19 patients with the provision of information and services provided. This research is a quantitative observational descriptive study with a variable of family satisfaction of covid-19 patients with the information and services provided. The population in this study is the families (husband / wife) of patients who recovered and were treated in the Covid-19 Isolation Ward RSUP dr. Kariadi Semarang with totaling 40 people. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling technique and the resulting sample was 30 respondents. Measurement of variables using a questionnaire providing information and service delivery. The results showed that the average patient's family expressed satisfaction with the provision of information (> 30) and services provided (>42). Innovation is needed to further improve service quality so that service quality will be even better.
Background: Anxiety happens as the normal reaction of stressor and last for a moment. Anxiety may be experienced by patients who will undergo cardiac surgery. Objective: This study aimed to describe the anxiety that experienced by patients who will undergo cardiac surgery at Dr. Kariadi Hospital, Semarang. Methods: This descriptive study used Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) to measure the respondents’ anxiety rating scale and their responses during cardiac surgery. Thirty respondents were included in this study in Dr. Kariadi Hospital, Semarang. Results: All of the respondents that have been interviewed experienced various levels of anxiety; 8 respondents (26,7%) experienced mild anxiety, 18 respondents (60%) experienced moderate anxiety and 4 respondents (13,3%) experienced severe anxiety. Conclusion: This study concluded that all of the respondents who will undergo cardiac surgery in Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang experienced anxiety. Perasaan cemas mungkin akan dirasakan oleh sebagian besar pasien yang akan menjalani bedah jantung. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kecemasan pasien yang akan menjalani operasi bedah jantung di RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan kuesioner HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) kepada responden untuk mengukur respon dan menilai tingkat kecemasan menjalani operasi bedah jantung. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 30 responden di RSUP dr. Kariadi Semarang. Hasil: 30 responden telah diwawancarai semua mengalami kecemasan dengan berbagai tingkatan sebagai berikut; 8 responden (26,7%) memiliki tingkat kecemasan ringan, 18 responden (60%) memiliki tingkat kecemasan sedang dan 4 responden (13,3%) memiliki tingkat kecemasan berat. During the Covid-19 patients’ treatment process in the hospital, nurses play an important role in preventing the Covid-19 outbreak through proper care and prevention procedures because nurses are in direct contact with Covid-19 patients. This study aimed to produce an analysis of nurses’ level of knowledge and attitudes regarding Covid-19 in the Covid-19 isolation ward of Dr Kariadi Hospital Semarang. This is a descriptive correlation study with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted on 81 nurses who had or are currently taking care of Covid-19 patients in the isolation ward of Dr Kariadi Hospital Semarang by consecutive sampling. The data were analyzed by the Spearman Rho test. The results of the study showed that 81 nurses (100%) had a high level of knowledge regarding Covid-19 and had good attitudes towards Covid-19 prevention. The result showed a strong relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes regarding Covid-19 with a positive correlation (r = 0.617). The study result concluded that the higher the level of knowledge, the better the attitude of nurses regarding Covid-19
