Zusammenfassung
In zwei Versuchen mit 54 männlichen Sprague‐Dawley‐Ratten, wurde die Wirkung des Zuckeraustauschstoffes Palatinit auf den Protein‐ und Fettansatz sowie auf die Energieverwertung im Lebendmassebereich 50–150 g untersucht. Als Vergleichssubstanz diente Saccharose. Palatinit und Saccharose wurden jeweils in Form einer Mischung mit einer halbsynthetischen Casein‐Stärke‐Diät im Verhältnis 30:70 verabreicht. Die scheinbare Verdaulichkeit und Umsetzbarkeit der Energie von Palatinit betrugen 91,4% und 89,1% und waren damit 7,5% bzw. 9,8% niedriger als die von Saccharose. Die mit Palatinit gefütterten Ratten zeigten 10% geringere Zunahmen. Die Futterverwertung war um 11% verschlechtert.
Bei nahezu gleicher Harn‐N‐Ausscheidung betrug die Kot‐Ausscheidung dagegen bei den Palatinit‐Ratten das 2,4‐fache der Saccharose‐Ratten. Im Vergleich zu den Kontrolltieren war der Proteinansatz um 13,3%, der Fettansatz um 41% reduziert. Im Schlachtkörper der Ratten traten somit deutliche Unterschiede im Fett/Protein‐Verhältnis zwischen den beiden Gruppen auf. Die energetische Verwertung von Palatinit lag um 26–29% niedriger als die von Saccharose. Die Palatinit‐Ratten wiesen sowohl nüchtern als auch während 60 Minuten im Anschluß an die Futteraufnahme eine gesichert niedrigere Insulinaktivität im Serum auf.
