The increasing popularity and exponential growth of esports as a worldwide phenomenon has created a whole new industry with important implications for the different key players in the value chain. The digitalization process, which accelerated after the global spread of COVID-19, has introduced a collection of exciting changes to content production and delivery, with the Internet as its fundamental pillar. Knowledge management in successful esports organizations can be associated with their sustainability, continuity, and achievement of long-lasting competitive results in this industry. From a descriptive standpoint, this paper aims to analyze the determinants that have advanced the esports industry, especially in Spain. To achieve this goal, a SWOT analysis is carried out to highlight the keys that have developed this industry. This research contributes to studying the economic impact and the strategies organizations should follow to guarantee their future. Recommendations for both the industry and public administrations are further discussed.
The atypical situation produced by the Covid-19 pandemic has led governments to make decisions in the educational sector to solve with immediacy the contingencies produced by the health crisis. This study carries out a comparative-descriptive systematization between two countries, Ecuador and Mexico, analyzing 60 official documents based on four units of analysis connected to educational public policies: social competence, diagnosis, program, and proposed actions. The results show that, although there are common actions such as the suspension of classes and telework, virtual learning programs – “Aprende en Casa” Mexico and “Educación en Casa” Ecuador – there are also contrasts. Among these, it is evident that education policy decision-making in Ecuador is more decentralized than in Mexico, and that social competencies in Ecuador are oriented to administrative staff, students, families and teachers, while in Mexico, in addition to those mentioned, these also include media and government employees of the Ministry of Public Education. These findings confirm that the operationalization of the legislative framework issued during this emergency in the educational field will provide lessons for the return to post-pandemic activities.
The role of education, punctuated by Mendez (2009), is explained as a universal right that everyone should have and as an instrument or means of social development that would ensure freedom and democracy. Education is essential for countries to achieve higher levels of development mechanism. In addition, it must be a key to obtaining knowledge and help train men seeking welfare (General Education Act) factor.
In recent decades, the participation of women in all movements is increasing, in the field of labor statistics affected by this increase, however, the percentage of discriminatory practices towards women has also been detected in Mexico in the labor market, which has managed to generate high rates of wage discrimination and a lower probability of obtaining better paid positions. Due to the importance of this issue, this study presents the main factors that impede the empowerment of Chihuahua women, through a descriptive statistical methodology, focusing their analysis on the study of the characteristics between men and women when entering the labor market and how They are reflected in the salary remuneration, with the way of knowing if this phenomenon is due to sociodemographic factors or a gender perspective problem, and thus show the current panorama faced by women in the state of Chihuahua.
